Texas Tech University System EXPERIMENTAL SCIENCES BUILDING II Texas Tech University | Lubbock, Texas
The project provides flexible, open, and modular high-tech interdisciplinary research laboratories, principal research investigator offices, core instrumentation facilities, support space and three conference rooms to foster Texas Tech’s growing research enterprise. The core instrumentation facilities will house needed state-of-the-art instruments and support for research in areas of state and national need that is being conducted by the larger campus Research & Development community. The project also provides essential research laboratory space characterized by an interdisciplinary “institute” environment.

www.jqeng.com TERRY FULLER PETROLEUM ENGINEERING BUILDING Texas Tech University | Lubbock, Texas This landmark engineering building on the Texas Tech University campus contains 40,000 SF of administrative offices, conference rooms, graduate/undergraduate areas, engineering laboratories and a library. The building design integrated teaching spaces, student spaces and research labs. Additionally, the project includes 50 to 80 new parking spaces adjacent to the new facility. Texas Tech University System TALKINGTON COLLEGE OF VISUAL & PERFORMING ARTS (MAEDGEN THEATER TexasEXPANSION)TechUniversity | Lubbock, Texas The J.T. & Margaret Talkington College of Visual & Performing Arts, Theatre & Dance Complex is a 50,728 SF, two-story addition of the existing Maedgen Theatre building on the Lubbock campus. The new structure includes a two level open lobby and a black box theatre to support both the teaching environment and live productions performed by the college. ORAL HEALTH CLINIC Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso, Texas
Size: 40,562 SF Cost: $9.9M
The project includes the finish out and renovation of 40,562 SF of a former El Paso box store, transforming it into a new oral health clinic for the Texas Tech University College of Dentistry. The clinic is located within the existing warehouse and adjacent to existing university offices. Structural scope on the adaptive reuse project included support of new mechanical equipment located on the roof of the existing structure trenching of an existing slab-on-grade for new underfloor plumbing lines and support of new overhead mechanical lines including fire sprinkler, vacuum, compressed air, water, hydronic and electrical distribution. Expansion, Renovation Services: Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Surveying Size: 26,900 SF Cost: $5.5M
This project consisted of a two-story, 15,700 SF expansion and an 11,200 SF partial renovation of the Recreation | Wellness Center and Center for Human Performance at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. Highlights include a new weight and fitness room, climbing wall, jogging track, control desk and administration space, as well as renovation of the racquetball courts, locker rooms and dance studio. One of the key elements of the design was to showcase the climbing wall, which can be seen from outside the building and serves as an invitation to enter and be active.

The three-story, 50,000 SF Archer College of Health and Human Services Building at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, houses teaching laboratories, classrooms, a 100-seat seminar room, student study rooms and high-tech interdisciplinary research laboratories. Additionally, the building contains a centralized administrative suite for college, departmental and program administrators, as well as support staff, faculty offices, an academic advising center, and a support center for online program development and delivery.

Texas Tech University System CENTENNIAL HALL (HEALTH SCIENCES & HUMAN SERVICES) Midwestern State University | Wichita Falls, Texas Centennial Hall houses several academic programs including dental hygiene, social work, radiologic sciences, respiratory care and nursing. The open architecture features labs to promote collaborative learning and transparency between students and disciplines.
