SINGING HILLS RECREATION CENTER, PHASE Dallas Texas into two phases, this project consists of a replacement recreation center for the Singing Hills community. Phase I includes the construction of a new one-story, 11,000 SF facility featuring two multipurpose rooms, a fitness room, an exercise room, a game room, restrooms and a lobby. The second phase includes the gymnasium addition on the east side of the lobby as well as the plaza tie-in to the DART platform.

Park & Recreation SAN GABRIEL PARK PAVILIONS, PHASES I & II City of Georgetown | Georgetown, Texas The project included multiple phases for park improvements, including a new restroom facility, various foundation designs for park amenities, and multiple small to large pavilions. This 2.6-acre park includes an Education Classroom Building with an Emergency Operations Company (EOC) center and a miniature village with streets, crosswalks and traffic signals where children are taught pedestrian and bicycle safety. Civil engineering design included paving, drainage, grading and domestic water and sewer service. Structural engineering design included all buildings on site with a mixture of building materials. The EOC was designed as a hardened area based on FEMA and ICC requirements, with 250-mph wind loads and missile impact considerations. Civil Engineering, Surveying $4.5M

NORTHWEST COMMUNITY PARK AND FRISCO ON THE GREEN City of Frisco | Frisco, Texas

The project includes planning, design and construction of a new community park and a new neighborhood park in the northwest quadrant of the City of Frisco. The Northwest community park site contains 120 acres of land and Frisco on the Green park has 27 acres. The existing sites include reuse water ponds, hike and mountain bike trails, and undisturbed

WEBB CHAPEL PARK PAVILION

Designed under a program created by the City of Dallas Parks and Recreation Department to develop architecturally significant park pavilions to enhance neighborhood amenities, Webb Chapel Park Pavilion was designed by Cooper Joseph Studio in association with Quimby McCoy Preservation Architecture. The pavilion was constructed with board-formed castin-place concrete with a dramatic cantilevered roof structure to provide unencumbered views of the adjacent sports fields and playgrounds. Conical ceiling structures provide natural ventilation in response to the hot Texas climate.

Park & Recreation EULESS FAMILY LIFE CENTER AQUATIC PARK City of Euless | Euless, Texas This project includes a new 8,600 SF aquatic center attached to the existing municipal senior and fitness center in Euless, Texas. The addition houses an indoor pool, a 40-by-40-foot shade structure, a 1,500 SF concessions building, and a pool equipment/pump room building. This project included replacement of the pavilion, which conforms to guidelines provided by the City of Dallas Parks and Recreation Department. The strong horizontal lines of the pavilion echo the long and narrow proportions of the park. An additional part of the project scope was the design of two dog parks — one for small dogs and the other for larger dogs 40 pounds or heavier.
