Law Enforcement TOWN HALL AND POLICE HEADQUARTERS
Town of Trophy Club | Trophy Club, Texas
This new 24,000 SF facility includes 11,200 SF for the police headquarters, 9,500 SF for the town hall and 3,300 SF for the council chambers, an emergency operations center, a main entrance rotunda and common spaces. The design allows the conference room, council chambers and multi-purpose room to be used by the community. A clerestory window separates the council chambers from the lobby, allowing natural light into the chamber.

Law Enforcement PUBLIC SAFETY COMPLEX City of Richardson| Richardson, Texas

The ten-acre campus includes a fire station with a specific administration wing, a police headquarters building and a 911/ dispatch center. The 28,100 SF fire station is located on the north end of the property and the 77,000 SF police facility is centrally located with a skybridge connecting it to the existing detention center. The new facilities provide additional space for existing and future staff, as well as numerous security and operational enhancements. Both the fire station and police headquarters are designed to have ICC 500 code-compliant storm shelters.



The project includes the renovation and adaptive reuse of two 500,000 SF historic warehouses and the construction of new administrative offices, fire tower and burn building for the new Public Safety Training Facility for the City of Fort Worth. JQ performed the LiDAR data acquisition and generated a BIM model of the historic structures for the design team’s use.

Robertson County | Franklin, Texas
The project includes a 90-bed jail and sheriff’s office to replace a 30 year old facility. The design maximizes inmate observation with an elevated staff position on the mezzanine level. A corridor connects the jail to the sheriff’s office, which includes standard spaces and a 40-person training room that doubles as an emergency operations center.

The new Carlos Carrizales, Jr. Law Enforcement Center and Robert L. Horn Jail opened in the spring of 2020. The two facilities, a sheriff’s office and jail, total 52,000 SF and are named after former Bee County sheriffs. The jail houses 148 beds, dormitories, a full service kitchen, infirmary, and recreational yards. The sheriff’s office includes investigation offices, a crime lab, evidence storage, 911 dispatch and other administrative areas.

Law Enforcement POLICE, MUNICIPAL COURTS, AND COUNCIL CHAMBER COMPLEX City of Boerne | Boerne, Texas
The 30,000 SF building houses police, courts, and council chambers for the City of Boerne. A partial two-story portion of the building houses the police function and the courts and council chambers are single story. The primary structural system for the building is a structural steel frame, the centerpiece of which, being a two story open volume rotunda that creates the main entrance into the police station. The two story front façade of the building is shaded by a six foot trellis that is an extension of the roof structure.
