W e Are Jersey Magazine is a subsidiary company birthed out of the parent business entitled Jersey Turn’t Up Entertainment. Having achieved rising success within only two years of business, the owners wanted to create something that would expand their networking repertoire while promoting positive talent both locally and abroad. The idea of creating We Are Jersey Magazine began when co- CEOs, Daniel Banks & Bridget Papino, were featured in the NOVEMBER 2014 issue of another magazine company. After discussion with the owner of that magazine, as well as experiencing the positive responses that exposure generated towards their entertainment business, they decided to begin a magazine company of their own that would target a new type of entertainment promoting style. We Are Jersey Magazine’s goal is designed to provide exposure, references and resources that will influence all those aspiring to do something positive with the talents they possess. a.k.a. blueprint 2xx

Hot upcoming artist Blueprint, also known as 2xx, is rapidly on the rise at only 19 years old. With influence from the scripture Jeremiah 29:11, Blueprint knew that the plan God had for her was bigger than her own. Despite her name, she proves that she is much more versatile than when she first began her career, as she has stepped out of her comfort zone regardless of the genre. She strives to be different on any type of song she makes from Hiphop, R&B, Pop and so on. When Blueprint hits the stage, it is clear that her secondary stage name 2xx takes over where her personality immediately displays she is the life of the party, and drives the crowd energy through her passion.

While relocating from 16

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Grand Rapids,Michigan, Blueprint was inspired by her older brother Trevon whom is an artist as well, to start doing music. She would listen to him in the studios for hours record his music.

As a kid, she loved storytelling, poetry and spoken word which she eventually turned them into songs. Blueprint would put her stories and sounds together as she saw fit. This helped her sharpen her skills ontop of being inspired by other upcoming artists at the time such as

Rapsody.

What moment in your life or career made it clear that the music route was meant for you over writing stories and poems?

The moment in my life/career that made it clear that the music route was meant for me over writing stories and poems is when I would listen to beats and the words would just start flowing along with the rhythm of the music. Also, when I would finally start letting others listen and the feedback I would get as far as how much emotion and passion they can hear in my songs.

What was your first time recording music like compared to now?

My first time recording music I was so scared and held back so much because I worried a lot about what others would think and I also didn't like hearing my own voice on a recording. Now when I go into a studio or record anywhere, I go all out. I put my heart into every single bar and every single song. I have always wanted to be heard so I became completely fearless of the opinions of others and stepped out of my comfort zone to reach what I set out to be.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years in your career?

In 5 years, I see myself selling out arenas, specifically Madison Square Gardens, which has always been a dream of mine, working with legends, and traveling the world while still perfecting my craft. I see myself being what people couldn't imagine me being.

What inspired you the most to take the positive influential route with your music career instead of other paths?

I have always been different, set apart so I may be in this world, but I will never be OF this world. Some artist believe that you have to "fake it until you make it" but that will never be me.

I have been thorough from the start and will never change. This world needs a positive impact as well as the industry so with that being said, I won't be the artist that makes music about the typical things as far as drugs, money, sex, and materialistic things. It may be "cool' and catchy to some every once in a while, but that is not what I want to be remembered for.

I want to be known as the artist that brought something different to the table. Something that the industry and world hasn't seen at all or for a long time.

How do you balance school and your music career/dreams?

I am a full time college student so between school and my career, it can get really busy, but when you are passionate about something as much as I am about music, I feel anything is possible to maintain. You definitely have to know how to prioritize and stay on top of everything, but I never put too much pressure on myself. I get everything done.

If you could work with any artist dead or alive, who would it be?

If I could work with any artist, I would choose "Rapsody" an underground artist from Raleigh, North Carolina.

Simply because she's so raw and down to earth. I absolutely love everything about her image, stage presence, and who she is as an artist and person in general.

I also really want to work with Chris Brown.

He has always been my biggest inspiration for music since I was little. I also dance so I would always watch him on TV and copy his dance moves in the mirror. He's been through a lot just like me so I can relate to him in many ways. He also does everything

that I have ever wanted to accomplish as an artist such as dancing, singing, acting, rapping, art, and much more! He is part of the reason I have never given up on my dreams no matter how many times I wanted to.

What is keeps you motivated during creative blocks?

During creative blocks, I always try to remember why I started writing in the first place without overthinking or overwhelming myself. I tend to listen to music for motivation and inspiration and to help me concentrate on what it is I am writing about.

What can our readers expect from you in 2020?

Expect a lot of everything from me in 2020! More visuals, music, performances, appearances, and etc because I plan to challenge myself to get as much done as I can so by the end of 2020 my fan base will be expanded, I will be meeting with different record labels, my streams will be higher, and I'll have more performance opportunities in different cities and hopefully states as well.

ailing from Deptford, New Jersey, upcoming singer, songwriter and producer Eric Skye is making a name for himself across the garden state. Being inspired by greats such as Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, Neyo & Usher, it was only right that he strives to become recognized among them as well.

This passion led work on his craft even more which is why this 20-year-old appears as a seasoned vet to others. Despite his father not being present most of his life, he inherited his father's talent with the pen. Previously, his father aspired to be a rapper and led Eric Skye to tap into his emotions and write his first rap at the age of seven. This rap was a diss to his father.

Eric Skye began singing at the age of nine years old which pushed him to engage more in performing arts. He was originally focused on football and believed music was only a hobby until he recieved positive feedback from his peers and came in second place at a high school talent show. This empowered Eric Skye to keep going, and growing his skills. He began to teach himself song structure, production and engineering.

His latest release, as well as his first project, "Nice Guys Finish First." not only gives us a blend of R&B, Hip Hop, bounce and afrobeat, but also gives us a deeper look into his personal life experiences. Each track brings the listener down a dreamy road of storytelling twisted with swift lyricism and delivery to drive your emotions as you continue down the tracklist.

Maria Garay, a Miami born bilingual indie creative is excited to be bringing something fresh and new to the scene of music. raily Vargas, aka B.Staaaacks is a versatile comedic entertainer from Camden, New Jersey. The talented eighteen year old has been pushed into the national scene due to his ability to consistently create funny content for his fans.

His first viral video came when the City Girls reposted one of his videos, dubbing Braily and his friend’s the “City Boys”. Since then Braily has had videos reposted by WorldStar, and collaborated with some of the internet’s other viral sensations.

He has used this exposure to develop a loyal fan base of all ages, which has led to event hosting opportunities and invitations to play in celebrity basketball games.

Braily’s talent outside of social media has not gone unnoticed, this year he was casted for a television series and approached by studios for roles in 2020. Once Braily completes his high school education he will devote his time to a career in acting and stand-up comedy.

As a Hip-Hop artist, he draws inspiration from the likes of Tory Lanez and Meek Mill, describing his style as a dark melodic fusion of rap that showcases emotion. After being homeless most of his life, music turned him away from violence and became a therapy to cope with

oss, pain, determination, triumph, and a hunger for success. It’s not every day you see all of these by looking into one person's eyes. However, if you take a close look at Jon Crawford; you immediately see all of these feelings and wants at the same time. His story isn’t a typical tale.

It’s a roller coaster of situations that formed the man you see today.

father. When Jon was 7, his father was released from prison and he was told to call him his uncle. At his young age, Jon was very perceptive.

Realizing that something was off he made sure to pay attention to every detail. Then one day he heard who he thought was his uncle call his supposed father “Dad”.

This took Jon a back and he immediately started questioning who he and everyone around him Jon was born November was. Was his uncle his 21st, 1995 in the Camden brother? area of Southern New Jersey. He returned back to a life of hustling having Jon sell drugs for him as well during his pre-teen years. Eventually, life on the run caught up with both of them. Separating them once again and hurling Jon into the foster care system. Bouncing from foster home to foster home ranging from Delaware, Pennsylvania, & New Jersey, Jon started seeing life from various cultures and points of view. This prompted his

imagination to blossom.

project “University” dropped in 2016 and began circulating around campus as a favorite.

His second project “Circle of Life” was released in 2017 and delved even deeper into his life. Coming into his own it told stories of his childhood, having a daughter at the age of 17, and his yearning to provide for his loved ones. It kicked off a buzz throughout New Jersey that strengthened his belief

that hip hop is what he wants to do with his life.

Jon has performed at college campuses, 300 person venues including the legendary S.O.B.’s lounge and more.

He has a natural ability to control the crowd and keep the listener's attention at all times. His voice, lyrics, and beat selection is a top-notch natural skill that cannot just be learned. It is inherent and shows in his music and

performances.

For now, Jon is continuing creating art and working towards dropping his next album. His latest project "Circle of Life" which dropped in 2017 collected over 36K streams and sold 10K physical/digital copies.

Jon is now feeding the world what he calls “packs”. Finely curated ep’s to make sure his fans are fed and to continue making his name known.

His current pack titled “For What it’s Worth” includes “2 am Smoke”, “3 am in Camden, & “Anxiety”.

Somehow Jon manages to give you a perfect glimpse into his mindset.

He wants his listeners to hear and be inspired. Younger people that may come from similar backgrounds to know they can make it out of the struggle.

As Jon says “The Hustle is Free, but the Dream is Sold Separately”. There’s a hustle inside of all of us...but chasing your dream will cost you sacrifice, time, and more. It’s up to you to chase it at all costs.

illingboro's own, Sunny Perez, known for his hottest single "We Up", is focused on becoming a better artist as he grows through his experiences. While growing up with a military father and registered nurse mother, he was often in church. It wasn't until he was 10 years old, and after he purchased the "The Marshal Matters LP", he began to make his own music. He was known for rap battling in his neighboorhood and lunchroom as well as talent shows. Despite dealing with numerous obstacles in his music career such as incarcerations, poor management, and so on, however, Sunny Perez, won't let it stop him from growing. His latest album, For Your Girlfriend, released in 2018.

Frank “Genesys” Zapata is an upcoming rapper currently residing in Bronx, New York.

He was born in Dominican Republic and lived there for 6 years until he moved to New York City in 2003. Genesys came to New York City to live with his father, leaving his mother behind. Throughout 70

Genesys his childhood, Genesys was always fascinated in music no matter what genre he was listening to. He first started as a rock/metal fan where he would constantly be listening to his favorite bands: Linkin Park, Paramore, Hollywood Undead, etc. This all changed when he first heard Eminem.

He first heard “When I’m Gone” and the song got stuck in his head to the point that he started listening to more of Eminem’s songs. Fast forward a few years and he was completely submerged in the Hip Hop culture. He was in the habit of memorizing all the lyrics of every single song

he listened to.

Around 2014, he came across Childish Gambino through the song “3005” on the radio.

He started searching all of Childish’s songs and he felt that everything that Gambino was saying in his raps, he could relate to 100%. Eventually around NOVEMBER 2016, there were rumors stating that Childish’s upcoming album, at the time, “awaken, my love!” would be his last. This made Genesys start writing his own lyrics and creating his own songs because he hopes to blow up rather quickly in order to one day collab with Childish Gambino. He gives Eminem the credit of getting him into hip hop and Childish Gambino the credit of getting him to actually start writing music. Today, Genesys has been to 2 radio shows at Flo Empire radio and has been to countless of gigs. Genesys is now going to drop his first mixtape, “Birth of Flow”. He has a couple of music videos lined up to record and has another mixtape, “Flowmotion” dropping in December!
