W e Are Jersey Magazine is a subsidiary company birthed out of the parent business entitled Jersey Turn’t Up Entertainment. Having achieved rising success within only two years of business, the owners wanted to create something that would expand their networking repertoire while promoting positive talent both locally and abroad.

The idea of creating We Are Jersey Magazine began when co- CEOs, Daniel Banks & Bridget Papino, were featured in the NOVEMBER 2014 issue of another magazine company.

After discussion with the owner of that magazine, as well as experiencing the positive responses that exposure generated towards their entertainment business, they decided to begin a magazine company of their own that would target a new type of entertainment promoting style. We Are Jersey Magazine’s goal is designed to provide exposure, references and resources that will influence all those aspiring to do something positive with the talents they possess. Through the lives of the individuals that are highlighted in the magazine, it is the desire of We Are Jersey Magazine to encourage, uplift and inspire anyone to continue to soar to greater heights and deeper depths with their abilities. Lola Clark created a Women's Empowerment group entitled "The Ladies Empowerment Club" at her high school in south Jersey where she allows individuals to get to know her on a personal level while completing projects that give back to the community such as charity events, women hygiene project, and presentations. Her projects unite individuals locally as well.

Lola Clark also sings and songwrites as a way for her to express herself and release. Some of her upcoming releases express the struggles that most teens under 18 experience and further lets them know they are not alone. For 2020, she plans on releasing some music to help others see how relatable she is as well as help other teens get through the same struggles that she goes through.

Despite the challanges of balancing school, being an artist and muse, and maintaining her reputation in the spotlight, Lola Clark still prioritizes spending time with her family and those who love her.

In her free time, she admires travelling and making memories with her family and her close friends. This hard working teen is creating a bright future and it's only going to keep getting better.

What first got you into music?

I remember listening to my parents’ Billy Joel and Michael Jackson cassette tapes in the car as a kid. I also liked reading poetry and began writing lyrics at young age. Watching rap battles and freestyle videos on YouTube was what sparked my love for hip hop.

What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?

It’s hard to imagine, considering how long my music career has been a part of my identity. Life would be pretty boring 32

without it. I’d probably be more invested in my job as a car salesman at BMW, and be getting ready to settle down and start a family.

What is one message you would give to your fans?

I’d want them to know that their support is what keeps me going as an artist. Without them, I might have given up the pursuit of my dreams a long time ago. I’m beyond appreciative of everyone who has shared my links, come out to my shows, or spent money on merchandise, because that’s fan-love in its purest form.

How do you separate yourself from other artists?

My style is unique, and showing versatility is huge for me, so I experiment with different sounds to demonstrate that I can do it all. If you listen for the melodies, harmonies, bars, punchlines, similes, metaphors, rhyme schemes, lyrical content, and overall quality in my production- I’m the complete package as an artist, and that’s what sets me apart.

If an upcoming artist asked you for advice to get to the position your at right now, what would you tell them?

I’d tell them to invest in themselves and take risks while they still can. I made music for a long time but didn’t get to the position I’m at right now until I started spending my own money to promote and market my music the right way. You can be the most

talented artist in the world, but without a budget, it’s nearly impossible to break through in the industry, and that’s the truth.

What can we expect from you for the rest of 2020?

After locking myself in the studio for a year, I entered 2020 with over 50 newly recorded songs, a few music videos, a feature from Arsonal, an unreleased interview and freestyle at Hot 97.1, and a network that is larger and more powerful than it’s ever been. I’m still figuring things out, but my goal is to drop a song and video every month for the rest of the year, at the minimum. Maybe even an EP, we’ll see.
