INSTAR engaged local people in the Jaywick area of Essex in creative workshops to create wild ocean inspired symbols as part of their ARKADE project.
Each participant created their own symbols which represent their relationship with the sea. Using light boxes and vellum papers, collage techniques were used to produce each work. Participants then named and described their symbols which have been detailed in this zine.
Workshops took place at Jaywick Martello Tower, Jaywick Resource Centre and Inclusion Ventures.
