Qualities of Ganno (Fipronil 40% + Imidacloprid 40% WG) Ganno is a pre-mix of Fipronil 40% and Imidacloprid 40% (a.i.) as a water dispersible granule in the formulation.

It is an unique combination product with dual action against pest.

Ganno is suitable to control problems of white grub in Sugarcane.

Fipronil

The active ingredient Fipronil is toxic after ingestion with some contact action and acts by interfere the transmission of nerve impulse.

Another active of Ganno, Imidacloprid disturbs the signal transmission and leading ď€ nally the death of the treated insects.

Ganno show elongated persistence with excellent control.

Ganno shown deď€ nite effect on plant growth, resulting with better yield.

Imidacloprid

Mode of Action of Fipronil

Fipronil is toxic to insects by contact or ingestion. It blocks GABAA-gated chloride channels in the central nervous system. Disruption of the GABAA receptors by pronil prevents the uptake of chloride ions resulting in excess neuronal stimulation and death of the target insect. It exhibits differential binding afnity for GABAA receptor subunits, with a higher binding afnity for insect receptor complexes compared to mammalian complexes.

Mode of Action of Imidacloprid

Imidacloprid is designed to be effective by contact or ingestion. It is a systemic insecticide that translocates rapidly through plant tissues following application.

Imidacloprid acts on several types of post-synaptic nicotinic acetylcholine receptors in the nervous system. In insects, these receptors are located only within the central nervous system. Following binding to the nicotinic receptor, nerve impulses are spontaneously discharged at ď€ rst, followed by failure of the neuron to propagate any signal. Sustained activation of the receptor results from the inability of acetylcholinesterases to break down the pesticide
