MAINTENANCE OF ACCOUNTING POLICIES AND PROCEDURES MANUAL

POLICIES The accounting policies and procedures manual is critical to the accounting function of (COMPANY NAME). The Accountant is responsible for maintaining the manual. All proposed changes must be approved by the Accountant and by the CFO. The policies and procedure manual will be dated with the date of each approved revision.

PROCEDURES Each year the Accountant will review the manual and formulate proposed changes. This update will be completed no later than October of each year. All changes must be approved in writing by the CFO/CEO. If the Accountant has no proposed changes, a memo to that effect must be approved by the CFO/CEO. Whenever changes to the accounting procedures are made, a review of the accounting policies and procedures manual will be made by the Accountant to determine if a revision is required. Any minor revisions to the manual which are not reflected in the manual immediately should be kept on file to incorporate into the formal annual update. The revised manual will be distributed to the Accountant, CFO/CEO and Board of Directors.
