About the Oklahoma Buffaloes Australian Rules Football Club
Founded in 2010, the Oklahoma Buffaloes are Oklahoma’s original and only Australian Rules Football Club. The team is 100% player-owned and operated. Every event, game day, and activation is created, designed, and run by the club itself.
The Buffaloes are made up of 30+ players from all walks of life: lawyers, doctors, engineers, architects, advertising directors, and salespeople, ranging in age from their early twenties to mid-forties. Most players live and work in the greater Tulsa metro, with some based in Little Rock, Joplin, and Wichita. Two current players have earned spots on the U.S. Revolution Team, the United States National Team for Australian Rules Football.
About Footy Season
Oklahoma’s footy season runs 7 months, but the club is active year-round with training, events, and community involvement. Home games and weekly practices are held at Dream Keepers Park in Tulsa (Wednesdays at 6:00 PM), with the team competing in away games across the USAFL Central Region. A typical season includes matchups against teams from Denver, Dallas, Austin, Houston, North Texas, Des Moines, Minnesota, Baton Rouge, and more, culminating in the Central Regional Tournament and the USAFL National Championship.
