Presenting historical, modern and contemporary artworks across a wide range of themes, the exhibition explores what was possible for these artists from the late Victorian period onwards and charts the long and difficult route to professionalism.
The first survey of women artists in the collection, A Different View engages with the historic absence of women in academic narratives and shines a light on those artists who have shaped British art practice and culture.
