Nagar Kirtan Procession

Tachbrook Park, Royal Leamington Spa

Nagar Kirtan is a Sikh custom involving the processional singing of holy hymns throughout a community. The Nagar Kirtan is led by 5 saffron-robed Sikhs called Panj Pyare, or beloved ones dressed in traditional attire who are followed by the Guru Granth Sahib, which is placed on the float with others playing drums and hymns to announce the procession as it moves through the streets.

This year’s Remembrance Sunday service will take place at the War Memorial, Euston Place at 10:50am. A parade of local organisations will proceed to the war memorial in advance of the Remembrance Service.
