LETTER FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL Every parent hopes their child will flourish and thrive. Parents want their children to earn good grades or gain admission to an outstanding university, but they also want them to become young men and women of wisdom, character, confidence, and faith. Parents long for a place where their children will be known, loved, challenged, encouraged, and inspired to discover the unique purpose God has for their lives. That is our prayer for every student who walks through the doors of Westminster Christian School. For more than 65 years, Westminster has partnered with Christian families in this important work. As one of Florida’s leading independent Christian schools, we believe that faith and learning are inseparable. Academic excellence and spiritual formation are not competing priorities. They are both essential to the education of the whole child. Our mission is simple: We develop ambassadors for Christ through faith and learning. Every classroom, every relationship, every opportunity, and every experience is intended to help students discover their God-given gifts and prepare them to influence the world for His glory. ABOUT US

ore than 65 years ago, a small group of dedicated Christians at Shenandoah Presbyterian Church sensed a calling to start a school characterized by excellence and devoted to a biblical philosophy of education. In the founding charter, they pledged to establish a school and educational program “propounding the highest of academic standards, so as to prepare covenant youth for purposeful Godliness in any vocation or entrance into leading institutions of higher education.” On September 1, 1961, Westminster Christian School opened its doors and today, thanks to the vision and dedication of school founder Mr. Jules Vroon and the leadership of many faithful men and women over the years, Westminster is the standard for Christian education in South Florida. Westminster Christian School is now situated on 35 lush acres and serves approximately 1,350 students from preschool through 12th grade. While so much has changed, Westminster Christian School’s mission remains the same: to provide an excellent education to the children of Christian families.

estminster recognizes that each child has a unique pattern of growth and learning. We create a safe and nurturing environment that encourages the intellectual, spiritual, social, physical and emotional development of every student. Families with children who have language based learning challenges, such as dyslexia, can apply to Westbridge Academy, a specialized program beginning in first grade. Learn more at www.westbridgemiami.org Westminster’s preschool and elementary school are committed to developing students who serve as ambassadors for Jesus Christ by teaching them to know and love Jesus through daily Bible reading, prayer, devotions, worship, and acts of service. Students also participate in weekly chapels. In addition to the core curriculum, students participate in art, music and physical education classes, and select from electives in Spanish, Project Lead the Way (robotics and coding) and Technology (Microsoft Office suite). Fourth and fifth grade students receive music instruction, allowing ample opportunities to develop

their God-given skills. Additionally, students experience the world around us and explore God’s creation through the one-of-a-kind WorldWonder program. This hands-on learning experience is set in the Nature Center and Wild Acre found on the elementary campus. Students with a high aptitude for mathematics can participate in the Accelerated Math program, allowing them to prepare for future rigorous STEM programs/fields. In addition, students can also participate in Mathletes, competing in local and national math competitions. Select electives and after-school programs, such as Entrepreneurship and Engineering, prepare students for eventual participation in high school signature programs. In fourth and fifth grade, students can also apply for the VEX IQ competitive robotics teams. Warrior Robotics has earned numerous awards and qualified for the VEX World Championship every year since the program’s inception. Beyond academics, after-school clubs and activities including cheerleading, dance, chapel praise, production, news team, and elementary athletics are also available for students to develop their God-given gifts and build lasting friendships.

It is so special to us to watch our kids attend the same school that my husband and I attended. They are creating their own memories in a place that means so much to our family. What we love most is that Christ is at the center of everything, and that faith is part of our children’s experience. As parents, it means so much to know they are surrounded by teachers, coaches, and staff who genuinely care about them and are helping guide them in their walk with Christ. Our kids feel loved, supported, and at home here. Watching them grow, build friendships, and experience the same special community we did is something we are so grateful for. iddle school is a time of extraordinary growth and change. Westminster offers an excellent learning experience that allows students to embrace their unique talents and interests during this important stage in early adolescent development. Our faculty and staff are dedicated professionals who strive to provide a challenging and engaging academic curriculum from a biblical perspective. Students are enrolled in five core academic courses (math, science, language arts, social studies and Bible) with opportunities for advanced and accelerated tracks in math and language arts. Additionally, they can select from 35 electives including fine arts, entrepreneurship, foreign language and computer science. At the beginning of the school year, eighth grade students embark on the GR8 Escape, a spiritual retreat designed to deepen their relationship with God. Over the course of three days, students engage in reflective activities, group discussions, worship, and prayer sessions to foster spiritual growth and understanding. By the end of the retreat, students emerge with renewed faith and a strengthened sense of community within their class. Students also participate in numerous field trips, including an educational tour of Washington, D.C., and trips to Zoo Miami and Sea World. Westminster’s middle school offers a wide variety of clubs and honor societies, such as student council, book club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Junior Honor Society, and the reputable after-school competitive robotics team. There are also opportunities to engage in Westminster athletics, with competitive teams in more than 15 sports.

Grounded in a biblical worldview, Westminster’s high school program is intentionally designed to help students discover their God-given gifts while preparing them for success in college and beyond. Through seven innovative Signature Programs, students are immersed in handson, real-world learning experiences that inspire curiosity and cultivate purpose. Whether conducting advanced medical simulations using the anatomage table, training in Westminster’s flight simulator, producing media broadcasts, arguing cases in a mock courtroom, or developing entrepreneurial ventures, students are encouraged to explore their passions in meaningful and impactful ways. Academic excellence remains at the heart of the Westminster experience. Students may choose from 29 Advanced Placement (AP) courses, a robust selection of Dual Enrollment offerings through part-

nerships with local universities, and more than 66 electives, allowing them to build a personalized academic pathway aligned with their interests and future aspirations. High-achieving students may also participate in the Emerald Scholars program, a distinction recognizing students who embrace academic rigor while demonstrating leadership, service, and a commitment to excellence. Beyond the classroom, Westminster students are provided opportunities to earn industry certifications, participate in internships and externships, and engage with an extensive network of community partners and alumni. One such example includes entrepreneur and alumnus Alex Rodriguez, whose collaboration with Westminster brings elements of his Strategic Pivoting curriculum developed at Stanford University into our Entrepreneurship Program. With more than 35 clubs, organizations, service opportunities, and student leadership programs, every student is encouraged to lead boldly, serve faithfully, and make a lasting impact on their community.

A hallmark of the Westminster experience is the exceptional support provided by the College Counseling Center. Beginning in ninth grade, each student is paired with a dedicated college counselor who walks alongside them throughout all four years of high school. Our counselors take a highly personalized approach, helping students navigate course selection, standardized testing, extracurricular involvement, and the college application process, while investing deeply in understanding each student’s unique strengths, aspirations, and calling. At Westminster, college counseling is more than helping students gain admission to prestigious institutions — it is about helping them discern where God is leading them. Through intentional guidance, prayer, and individualized support, our counseling team partners with students and families to identify the colleges and universities that best align with their academic goals, personal values, and sense of purpose. EMERALD SCHOLAR PROGRAM A MARK OF DISTINCTION Emerald Scholars represent some of the high school’s most driven and brightest students. These students seek academic enrichment by participating in Westminster’s most rigorous courses. To graduate as an Emerald Scholar, students take a minimum of 12 AP/Dual Enrollment courses, complete one of Westminster’s Signature Programs, as well as meet GPA, service project, and internship requirements. Emerald Scholars will graduate as Christian leaders prepared to think critically, collaborate effectively, seek innovative solutions, and be examples of excellence in their communities. Students who fulfill the requirements of an Emerald Scholar will also graduate from Westminster Christian School with the special designation “Emerald Scholar” and receive a distinctive seal on their diploma, recognition at commencement, as well as commemorative ring. Program graduates attend some of the nation’s top universities.

The biomedical program at Westminster, a building block of the Emerald Scholars program, has provided me with an in-depth exposure to the medical field and confirmed my interest in medicine as a future career. The anatomage table and the labs embedded into the biomedical courses have provided me with real clinical experience, such as viewing real body placement of ligaments and organs and learning multiple sutures used in real medical scenarios. Additionally, the HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) club has been one of my biggest passions at WCS. HOSA, a nationally recognized club, provides students with leadership and community service opportunities while competing in professional medical conferences and receiving important certifications such as CPR and First Aid. AP CAPSTONE AP Seminar and AP Research courses seek to develop students’ critical thinking skills in research, analysis, evidence-based arguments, collaboration, writing, and presenting. Students who pass both AP Seminar and AP Research, as well as four other AP exams, will graduate with the AP Capstone Diploma from the College Board. ENGINEERING The Engineering program utilizes the nationally-recognized PLTW curriculum. Students learn about the engineering design process, robotics, programming, critical thinking and problem solving through project-based lessons, while incorporating national standards in math, science, and technology. BIOMEDICAL SCIENCE The Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Biomedical Science program allows students to take an investigative approach to real and current medical issues. Working with the same tools used by professionals in hospitals and labs, students engage in compelling, hands-on activities and work together to find solutions to real-world problems. Our professional partners are an integral part of student success and provide mentorship throughout the program.

THE ALEX RODRIGUEZ ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAM The Alex Rodriguez Entrepreneurship Program empowers students to develop the entrepreneurial mindset, leadership skills, and business acumen needed to succeed in a rapidly changing world. Through hands-on learning, mentorship, internships, and real-world experiences, students explore innovation, strategic thinking, and purposeful leadership while preparing to make a meaningful impact in college, business, and beyond. LAW STUDIES The Law Studies program introduces students to the foundations of the legal system, civic responsibility, and the role of law in shaping society. Through courses in constitutional law, criminal justice, trial advocacy, and legal research, students develop critical thinking, public speaking, analytical writing, and ethical decision-making skills. Hands-on experiences such as mock trial, case studies, and real-world simulations prepare students to think like attorneys, advocate with confidence, and pursue future studies and careers in law, government, and public service.

MASS MEDIA The Mass Media program explores the methodologies of journalism, broadcasting, public relations and marketing research. Courses explore the importance and practice of responsible, professional, and ethical communication in a digital age, while infusing the latest advancements in the industry. FINE ARTS The Fine Arts program is for students who are passionate about performing or visual arts. Dance, music, theatre, 2D art, and 3D art represent a form of thinking and a way of knowing that is based on human imagination and judgment. The Fine Arts actively involve learners as creators, organizers, observers, and evaluators.

SPIRITUAL F O R M AT I O N At Westminster, we believe that God is highest, His Word is truth, and all truth ultimately finds its source in Him. Because of this conviction, we seek to weave spiritual formation throughout every aspect of the educational experience. Each year, our school community unites around a biblical theme and key passage of Scripture that shapes our weekly chapel gatherings, classroom conversations, service opportunities, and life together. WARRIOR WEEK As part of Westminster’s commitment to lead students to become ambassadors for Jesus Christ, high school students, faculty, and staff begin every school year by attending a week-long spiritual retreat in the beautiful mountains of Jasper, Georgia. The trip is a magnificent combination of fellowship, worship, daily chapels, character-building activities, fun, and adventure. Students are provided with the opportunity to pursue a deeper relationship with Jesus, learn and grow spiritually, and develop relationships with fellow classmates and faculty in preparation for a successful academic school year.

AT H L E T I C S Westminster Athletics has a tradition of excellence that spans more than 60 years. Our athletes and teams have been crowned National and State Champions numerous times and have earned countless District and Regional Championship titles. Westminster Athletics is rooted in Christian values, commitment, and discipline that has produced major-league and college athletes and many players on professional tours. At Westminster, student athletes are challenged to glorify God through the gifts He has given them while pursuing excellence and reaching their full potential in the athletic arena. FINE ARTS The Fine Arts program nurtures and develops creative and artistic expression that complements critical thinking and academic skills. Students can explore and excel in the arts through the following disciplines: band, choir, dance, orchestra, production, theatre and visual arts. Fine Arts opportunities are provided to students from preschool through grade 12, with travel enrichment, assessment experiences and accelerated instructional offerings beginning in middle and high school. As one of Westminster’s signature programs, Dual Enrollment and Advanced Placement (AP) courses are available for those seeking college prep and readiness. Both the performing arts and visual arts programs consistently produce award-winning, scholarship-receiving young artists who understand their gifts are given to them by God and are to be used for His glory.

OUR FACILITIES The Lighthouse Performing Arts Center (PAC) features a state-of-the-art auditorium with seating for nearly 650, providing an exceptional educational performance environment for students. Joined with the newly renovated Beacon Hall, the PAC serves as a hands-on instructional space for broadcast and digital production, as well as a hub of classroom space for dance, music and theatre classes. The Lighthouse also includes a two-story lobby with an art gallery where student artwork is always on display.

BAND Students are introduced to percussion and wind instruments in early elementary school. The band program then offers focused instruction through symphonic bands in upper elementary, middle and high school, with additional opportunities for jazz band, pep band, and drum line in high school.

Students are encouraged to sing through worship and performance from their earliest years. The choral program then offers vocal training through choral groups and mixed ensembles in upper elementary, middle and high school, with additional opportunities to explore show choir and modern musical expressions.

Students experience on-stage performance in elementary school. The theatre program then offers focused instruction, with additional audition-only opportunities for competitive troupes, in middle and high school. Students can also explore backstage aspects of theatre through stage management, as well as costume, makeup, set, prop, sound and lighting design.

DANCE Students are introduced to musical movement in elementary school. The dance program then trains in both classical and commercial styles beginning in middle school. Audition-only competition teams meet after school at both the middle and high school level.

VISUAL ARTS Students in elementary school receive weekly visual arts instruction. Middle and high school students can choose from a wide range of electives, including drawing and painting, photography, architectural, design and sculpture.

ORCHESTRA Students are introduced to string instruments in early elementary school, followed by focused instruction in upper elementary, middle and high school. In addition, the program offers an audition-only opportunity for chamber ensemble in high school.

PRODUCTION Students are invited to learn about live production by volunteering during chapel in the audio/visual booth and video control room, as early as third grade. Then focused hands-on training begins in middle school and continues through high school. Students are cross-trained in photography, live video, audio, lighting and sound design.

At Westminster, the technology department upholds a tradition of excellence and a clear vision to empower all administrators, faculty members, staff, and students with the most secure and advanced technological resources. Westminster has maintained a 1:1 device program from PK3 through 12th grade for the past 13 years. Each student and staff member is provided with a Microsoft Surface Pro computer, along with essential software and security monitoring tools designed to foster a welcoming environment conducive to comfort with and proficiency in technology.

Additionally, the school has assembled a cohort of Microsoft-certified educators to deliver professional development to the administration, faculty, and staff. Westminster has the distinction of being recognized as a Microsoft Showcase School since 2017. This designation is reserved for institutions worldwide that exemplify leadership in educational digital transformation, utilizing Microsoft technologies such as AI, OneNote, and Microsoft Teams to create immersive, inclusive, and per-

Moreover, Westminster is a Certiport-certified testing center, offering industry-recognized certifications in Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), Adobe, Entrepreneurship, Security, and Networking. Technology at

Westminster Christian School’s Alumni Program creates meaningful opportunities for alumni to invest in the next generation through mentorship, leadership, and community engagement. Throughout the year, alumni return to campus as Dub Talks speakers, sharing insights from careers in areas such as business, law, government, healthcare, media, sports, and nonprofit leadership while challenging students to think boldly about their futures. Alumni also serve as ambassadors through the Alumni Council, a volunteer leadership group that strengthens connections between Westminster and its graduates through engagement, service, and support of the school’s mission. Alumni remain connected through events such as Homecoming Weekend and other programs that foster lifelong ties to Westminster. Extending this commitment is the Alex Rodriguez Entrepreneurship Program: A Westminster Signature Program. Developed in partnership with alumnus Alex Rodriguez ’93, the program offers speaking engagements with Rodriguez, internship opportunities, and a workshop based on the Strategic Pivoting course he teaches at Stanford University. Westminster alumni remain an active part of campus life, helping students see what it means to lead lives of faith, purpose, and impact.
