William Dakan has joined the firm of Depew, Gillen, Rathbun & McInteer, LC.
Mike Meacham ’70
Mike Meacham has published his third book. He co-authored Essentials of Healthcare Manage- ment with colleagues from East Carolina University and Idaho State University. He previously wrote From Backpack to Briefcase (2015) and edited the history of the Association of Unversity Programs in Healthcare Administration, Looking Back to Look Forward (2018). Mike is an Associate Professor in the Department of Healthcare Leadership and Management at the Medical Unversity of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina.
John Lewis ’79
John M. Lewis, DDS has been credentialed a postdoctoral Fellow by the Academy of General Dentistry. He was recognized in a robing ceremony in Connecticut this past July at their 2019 Scientific Conference. John is President and Partner of "Wichita Dental Group, PA."
Edison Wong ’82
Edison Wong has been serving as a physician subject-matter expert on Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), the signature injury of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, at the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC) for the last two years. DVBIC is the government organization in charge of developing official clinical care recommendations and promoting research for TBI in the Department of Defense. The HQ is located in Silver Spring, Maryland, less than a mile from the border of our nation's capital.

Hamilton Hill ’94
Hamilton and Traci Hill welcomed a baby boy on March 8, 2019. Harrison Owen Hill is a large and happy child and joins sister Hope at home.
Scott Hilton ’98
Scott Hilton was recently appointed by Georgia's 83rd Governor, Brian Kemp, to serve as Executive Director of the Georgians First Commission. In this new role, Scott will work to cut red tape and streamline government for the benefit of small business. You're always welcome to connect with Scott and his family next time you come through Atlanta.
Evan Rosell ’01
Evan Rosell and his family returned to Wichita in March of 2018, where he serves as Vice President of Projects at the Greater Wichita Partnership, shepherding the Project Wichita regional visioning process. In November of 2018, Marion Brooke Rosell was born, joining her three older brothers, Peter (6), Rhett (4), and Isaac (2).
Katie Hill Leiding ’04
Katie Leiding and husband Tony welcomed a baby boy, Jameson Blair Leiding, in October 2018. Jameson is a happy boy and is excited to become a Spartan one day like his big brother Lincoln.
Christian Corrigan ’05
Christian Corrigan has returned to Washington, D.C. to serve as Senior Counsel to the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Education.
Rachel Rice Bennetch ’05
Rachel Bennetch and her husband Andrew welcomed their third baby girl, Lexi Anne Bennetch, on February 18, 2019. She was 9 pounds and 11 ounces and 21 inches long. They love having a house full of girls!




Kate Schaake Suhr ’05
Kate and Zack Suhr welcomed their second child, Addison Lynn Suhr, on March 11, 2019. Big brother Cameron is so excited!
Eileen Crowley McNulty ’06
Eileen McNulty and husband Parker welcome Amelia Elise McNulty to the world on April 3, 2019, at 12:44 a.m. at Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, Oregon. She weighed 7 pounds and 15 ounces and was 21 inches long.
Ryley Clem ’07
Ryley Clem and spouse Ryan had a baby girl on July 6, 2018. She weighed 7 pounds 4 ounces and was 18 inches long. She was born at 1:17 p.m. They have named her Collins. She joins sister Peyton (10) at home.
Thomas Greaves ’07
Thomas Greaves finished his residency in obstectrics and gynecology at Wesley Medical Center in June 2019, relocated to Kansas City, and began practicing at Overland Park Regional Medical Center at the end of summer 2019.
Erin Bigler ’08
Erin Bigler and her partner, Alex McQuirter, welcomed Xavier Kai McQuirter into the family on March 16, 2019. He weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.
Danielle Schifferdecker Gerstner ’09
Danielle Gerstner and husband Matt welcomed a daughter to the world on August 24, 2018. Collins Ruth was 8 pounds 7 ounces and arrived at 3:24 p.m. The new family of three resides in Valley Center, Kansas. Danielle is currently teaching Biology at Halstead High School.
Mariah Moxley ’10
Mariah Moxley graduated from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry in May of 2019. She is excited to move back to her hometown of Wichita and begin practicing dentistry in July.

Parker Smitherman ’11
Parker Smitherman married Erin Hedrick on November 10, 2018, in Dallas, Texas. In attendance was best man, Cooper Rowe '11; groomsmen Devon Rutledge '11 and Andrew Waswick; and ushers, Connor Bourland '11 and Paul Abromeit '11. Parker and Erin reside in Dallas where they met at SMU during a Kappa Sigma/Alpha Chi Omega event. Parker is working as an Assistant Editor for Republic Editorial and Erin is Brand Manager for The Richards Group.
Sophie Blackburn ’15
Sophie Blackburn graduated from MIT on June 6, 2019, with a degree in biological engineering and can't believe how fast these last four years have gone by! Outside of classes, she has enjoyed rowing for the lightweight women's team, starting the MIT Puppy Lab to provide therapy dogs for students on a weekly basis, and exploring different fields of research. Her next stop is the University of Washington for her MD/PhD, where she will be working towards her dream of developing artificial organs as a physician-scientist.
Alexandrea Payne ’16
Alex Payne spent last summer and all of junior year interning at SMU Global and Online where she played a major role in rebranding the organization to include a new online initiative. She also assisted in bringing the inaugural Big Event, the largest one-day, student-run service project in the nation, to SMU's campus as the Executive Director of Marketing and Communication last March. As a rising senior at Southern Methodist University, she will be a Student Representative on SMU's Board of Trustees in addition to being SMU's Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) President. Her summer will be spent interning at March & McLennan Agency in their marketing sector in Dallas, Texas.
