MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Collegiate is much more than a school - it’s a family. It’s a community of people dedicated to pushing the next generation to greatness. Our alumni are a special piece of this community, and I am honored to serve as this year’s Alumni Board President. The Alumni Board works hard throughout the year to enhance opportunities for our students and connect with other alumni. To make the Collegiate experience a reality for as many students as we can, we maintain a $1,000,000 Alumni Endowment for assistance through Indexed Tuition. Last year, our alumni raised $176,280.68, allowing us to help renovate the old Middle School locker rooms over the summer. THANK YOU to all of you who donated to make this a realty. Trust me; it was not a moment too soon! They looked, and smelled, like they did when I was a student! I’m thrilled to share that the 19th Annual WCS Golf Classic in August was our second-best ever. Thank you to those who sponsored, donated, played, and volunteered, as you made it all possible. Our staff ensures it’s a great time, so plan to join us next year! One of our favorite traditions on the Alumni Board is welcoming our newest alumni to the Alumni Association. When college mid-terms rolled around, the Class of 2018 received special care packages from the Alumni Association. We stuffed packages with all students needed to survive their exams, including ramen noodles, candy, and handwritten notes from faculty wishing them well. Many members of the Class of 2018 made it back to the first Homecoming, and we were thrilled with the turnout from alumni of all ages, many of whom came for reunions and the WCS Alumni BBQ. Beating Cheney was icing on the cake! For 2018-2019, the Alumni Board is focusing our fundraising efforts on supporting the Collegiate Annual Fund Effort, also known as the CAFE. We love that WCS uses these funds to enhance students’ learning experiences. I hope you will all join me in contributing to CAFE and helping this new generation of Spartans!
