WARREN COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS
VISION
MISSION
Students will graduate with the determination to succeed personally, intellectually, and professionally.
To provide an engaging, inspiring and challenging learning environment, which prioritizes safety, achievement, and opportunity.
It has been exciting to see Team WCPS spirit on display throughout the district this week as we celebrate an exceptional accomplishment! For the first time in district history, our elementary, middle, and high schools all earned an overall Green rating on the Kentucky School Report Card, placing WCPS among the top 16% in the Commonwealth. A closer examination of assessment results across the Commonwealth further reinforces just how significant this accomplishment truly is. While some school districts have only a handful or less of federal labels, WCPS is accountable for 149 and we met the proficiency target in 146 (96%) of them. Based upon this data point alone, our overall performance stands among the most impressive in Kentucky, reflecting years of high expectations, intentional effort, and a shared commitment to excellence. Although there is much to celebrate, we also recognize that our work is never finished, and I am confident our best days still lie ahead! Speaking of Team WCPS pride, our WCPS Spirit Store is open through tonight (October 28)! Whether you're looking for something to wear at school, district events, or around the community, there are plenty of options to show your WCPS pride. Please know these items are sold at cost with no markup for profit. Be sure to check out the store before it closes! Shop the WCPS Spirit Store Over the past two weeks, we’ve highlighted district initiatives and investments in response to feedback shared during last month’s Certified and Classified Advisory Council meetings. This week, we conclude our three-part series by focusing on the resources, technology, and communication tools that support our employees in their daily work and strengthen our ability to serve students and families. We recognize that providing our staff with the right tools and resources is essential to their success. While there is always room for improvement, we remain committed to listening to your feedback, identifying opportunities to better meet your needs, and making thoughtful investments that positively impact our schools. With that in mind, we want to highlight several investments already underway across the district.

FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT INVESTMENTS SUPPORTING CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION
Common Curriculum/Assessments — We continue to support common curriculum across the district by providing schools with resources for instruction and assessment. This year we are in the process of reviewing additional resources for instruction for next year. Standards Focus Teams — A special thank you to our standards focus teams who continue to meet each summer to update our pacing guides, curriculum maps, and common assessments. Audio Enhancement systems are currently in place at six schools, with plans to expand to six additional schools. These systems use classroom microphones and speakers to improve voice clarity and help students hear instruction more effectively. We are also investing in classroom translation tools to better support our multilingual learners. STRENGTHENING FAMILY COMMUNICATION
TalkingPoints helps teachers and schools communicate with families in their preferred languages, making it easier to build relationships and keep parents engaged. Last year, schools and teachers sent over 470,000 messages and received over 469,000 messages from parents. So far this school year, WCPS schools sent more than 14,500 messages and received more than 113,300 responses from families. WCPS provides access to LanguageLine telephone interpretation, in-person interpretation services, and Pocket Talk translation devices to help employees communicate more confidently and effectively with families. ENHANCING SCHOOL SAFETY
Our districtwide CENTEGIX platform provides additional tools to strengthen safety and emergency preparedness across our schools and facilities.
LOOKING AHEAD Our commitment to supporting you extends well beyond these investments. We will continue seeking your feedback, exploring innovative technologies, and identifying meaningful opportunities to strengthen the resources and systems that support your daily work. Above all, we remain committed to creating an environment where every employee feels valued, supported, and equipped to succeed. When we invest in our people and provide them with the tools they need, we strengthen the quality of our schools and expand opportunities for every student we serve.
