WCPS ELEMENTARY RECYCLING CONTEST

Congratulations to our elementary schools participating in the Ball Can-Do Recycling Contest. The schools have collected more than 100,000 aluminum cans!

ASPIRATIONS IN COMPUTING AWARD

Congratulations to Surya Rasuli from Warren Central High School for winning the National Center for Women and Information Technology Aspirations in Computing award! Thank you for representing the best of WCPS!

DR. ROBBIE FLETCHER VISITS WCPS

Thank you to the Kentucky Commissioner of Education, Dr. Robbie Fletcher, for visiting WCPS. We enjoyed his time spent in several of our schools and are grateful for his support!

WARREN ELEMENTARY WELCOMES MALCOLM MITCHELL

Special thanks to author and Super Bowl champ, Malcolm Mitchell, for visiting Warren Elementary’s students, faculty and staff! Each student received a copy of his book, The Magician’s Hat, and participated in a high-energy, pep rally-style assembly!

EDUCATORS RISING STATE CONFERENCE

Congratulations to our Young Male Leadership Academy students who placed first and second in the Educators Rising State Conference Gideon Robbins from Warren East High School is the state champion in Exploring Education Administration Careers! Oliyadi Gishe, Brandon James, McKinley Heard and Ayden Page from South Warren High School placed second in Researching Learning Challenges! They were congratulated by the Kentucky Commissioner of Education, Dr Robbie Fletcher!

We were thrilled to participate in United Way of Southern Kentucky’s Feed the Need! The annual food drive collects non-perishable food items to help foodinsecure individuals in our area

Braxton Chaffin, 2nd Place - Automotive Service Technician; Kade Elms, 1st Place - Heavy Equipment Operation Demo; Devon Eguires, 1st Place - Job Skills Demo (Leadership); Triston Miller, 2nd Place - Transportation Tool Identification; Harrison Shaff - 1st Place - Welding 1; and Kevin Wiseman and Matthew Green, 2nd PlaceWelding Fabrication.
