EDUCATION FOUNDATION LUNCH & LEARN

We were thrilled to further rollout the introduction of the WCPS Education Foundation to our community at a lunch and learn event! The mission of the WCPS Education Foundation is to enable businesses, individuals, and community stakeholders to make a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of students through investments that expand opportunities for innovative teaching and learning.
A heartfelt thank you to the team at Warren Elementary for being such gracious hosts; retired teacher Glenna Webb for speaking; and to our outstanding student leaders for sharing their insights about the school.
The Visionary Circle was also introduced at the event. The Visionary Circle is a $1000+ annual investment to strengthen and support experiences for all WCPS students, faculty, and staff. To learn more, click here.

BG AREA CHAMBER’S SCK LAUNCH 8TH GRADE EXPERIENCE
All four of our middle schools joined more than 3,400 students and 110 educators from 13 school districts at this year’s SCK LAUNCH Experience, a hands-on career expo designed for eighth-grade students across South Central Kentucky.
Now in its ninth year, the event brought together 53 local businesses that built interactive exhibits, giving students a first-hand look at high-demand careers, and the skills that power our region’s economy. A special “thank you” to WCPS’ Technology Department and student technology teams for sponsoring a booth!
