Good evening. It is truly an honor to stand before you today in a space that reflects the very spirit of what we are building. There is something especially fitting about launching this Alliance here at the Westchester Community Health Center during National Public Health Week. This year’s theme calls on us to recognize how public health has improved our daily lives, safeguarded our families, expanded our life spans, and strengthened our communities. It also asks us to honor the public health

workers who show up for us every day—and to advocate for policies and practices that promote good health for all. What a powerful and timely reminder. Because public health is so often the invisible architecture beneath our lives. It is in the water that is safe to drink, the food that is safer to eat, the screenings that catch illness early, the vaccinations that prevent suf-
