Remarks by Jewel Williams Johnson NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Jan.5, 2026 -- The Hon. Jewel Williams Johnson, Hon. Darcel D. Clark, Annie Willis and Taylor Palmer, were the 2026 Honorees at the Black Democrats of Westchester’s Annual Reception held this past Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the Greentree County Club in New Rochelle. Taylor Palmer, past president of the Westchester Young Democrats, received the May Morgan Robinson Award; the David A. Ford, Sr. Award was presented to Annie Willis, Chair of the New York State Democratic Women’s Caucus; The Hon. Darcel D. Clark, Bronx District Attorney, received the organization’s Thurgood Marshall Award, and Westchester County Leg-
islator Jewel Williams Johnson was honored and humbled to accept the M. Paul Redd Award. Here are the remarks made by Jewel Williams Johnson: OPENING - THE POWER OF TERROR TRANSFORMED Hi everyone! I must first say, especially to the ladies… you all look good this afternoon, you look absolutely marvelous! There was a time in this country when terror did not arrive quietly.
