Understanding Registration/Activity Codes and How to Use Them WCPR activities that require registration through WCPR’s ActiveNet registration system will be listed with a five digit code. The code is a unique identifier that can be used to search for that activity directly.

In order to register for an activity, please click directly on the registration code listed in this guide or visit wcparksandrec.com. On the homepage, click on the big blue button that says “Online Registration.” Once taken to the next page, you can input the activity code into the search bar to be taken directly to that activity’s registration page.

SITTING SERVICE - FOR AGES 6 WEEKS TO 7 YEARS -

Free to parents/legal guardians utilizing the recreation facilities and amenities Drop the kids off at KidsCare so you can enjoy your workout, class or activity knowing they are being supervised in a fun and enriching environment. Kids will have the chance to participate in new specialized activities such as Fitness Fun, Art and Music Activities along with Story Time. New games and toys encourage motor skill development and interaction with our KidsCare Attendants.

The service is available to parents/legal guardians only, who are utilizing the recreation facilities and amenities as a pass holder or have paid general admission. Due to limited participation numbers established by state regulations, we offer this program to our patrons as a limited time service, available on a first come, first served basis. Capacity is limited. This is not a guaranteed service to patrons and/or facility pass holders. n Facility locations offering KidsCare - Policies, procedures and hours of operation:

Taste traditional Victorian Christmas teas, finger foods and scrumptious desserts while delving into the characters and meaning behind the famed A Christmas Carol. A Christmas Carol, probably the most popular piece of fiction that Charles Dickens ever wrote, was published in 1843. Charles Dickens, through the voice of Ebenezer Scrooge, reminds us that a little kindness towards our fellow neighbor can go a long way.

Our House Master will delve into the characters and meaning behind A Christmas Carol while tasting traditional Victorian Christmas teas, finger foods and scrumptious desserts while beautiful music sets the atmosphere for this charming tradition. We also have a special kids’ plate so little ones can join in the experience. Experience is open to ages 6 and up and each participant is required to register.

A FATHER DAUGHTER DANCE Join us for a magical evening at our annual Sweetheart Dance, celebrating the special bond between fathers and daughters — as well as grandfathers, uncles, stepfathers, guardians, and family friends! Registration is required to attend classes and opens 26 hours before the scheduled class time.

The Certified Pool and Spa Operator (CPO) certification program is the world’s leading education and certification program for keeping pools safer and keeping them open. Over 700,000 students have been trained since 1973.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Training

Join the Red Cross Lifeguard Course and gain the skills and confidence to save lives! This comprehensive program is designed for aspiring lifeguards, combining classroom instruction with hands-on training in water rescue techniques, first aid, and CPR. Participants will learn how to assess risks, prevent accidents, and respond effectively in emergencies.

Prerequisites: • Must be at least 15 years old • Must be able to swim 200 yards • Must be able to tread water using only the legs for 2 minutes • Must swim 20 yards, retrieve a 10 lbs. object from 9’ of water, and return to starting point within 1 min. 40 sec.

We all have photos that would make wonderful, heartfelt paintings: homes or other buildings, vacation memories, landscapes, florals -- even people! Bob Ross Certified Oil Painting

Join Certified Ross Instructor®, Quintin Burlingame, as he leads students of all skill levels through the Bob Ross Wet-on-Wet Technique® made famous on the PBS program, The Joy of Painting®.

Intro to Paper Quilling Workshop

Primrose Sewing | Winter Weekly Classes

Make a New Year’s resolution to sew with Primrose Sewing! Girls and boys (ages 7 - 14 years) can register for a six-week session of youth weekly classes in January and February! The classes are designed for students of all skill levels, and the registration and supply fees include everything: all instructions, all fabrics, all supplies, a snack, usage of sewing machines, and lots of memorable moments! Students will use sewing machines, choose their own fabrics and make original projects. In the small group classes, Students will sew Fabric Bookmarks, Small Drawstring Bags, Fleece Mittens, a Cinnamon Roll Pillow, a Surprise Project, and a Service Project for charity. The classes are all identical and are available for youth of all skill levels. Love for Learning

If your child is ready to learn skills needed to be confident, prepared, and excited for school, but isn’t ready for an all day preschool, then this is the perfect opportunity. Each week we will have a theme to help guide class practice, play, and learning. With reading, writing, vocabulary, mathematical concepts, and hands-on activities... little ones will have fun seeing what school is all about! We will create with paints, clay, chalk, pastels, sculpture and much more. Each class will be filled with opportunities to develop fine motor skills and social skills while practicing cooperation and collaboration.

Chess Club

This class welcomes students of all skill levels, from absolute beginners to advanced players. It aims to foster a love for the game, achieve rapid improvement, and teach good sportsmanship for tournament play. The curriculum is structured across three months to cover a wide range of topics, including basic rules, tactics, middlegame planning & endgame technique. Each month will begin a new USCF rated tournament in which students may choose to participate.

Sessions are led by John Loftus, with two decades of experience as a chess trainer. He can quickly identify areas for improvement, offer quality guidance, and teach effective study methods to those that wish to train in between classes. All materials for the class are provided.

Dungeons & Dragons is a Role Playing Game in which anything is possible, but the dice make some things more probable than others. As the settlers of Leilon bend their backs to the task of creating a settlement in the dangerous wilds of the Sword Coast, even larger threats loom all around them. Tentative adventure: Sleeping Dragons Wake. This Adventure will begin with characters at the 9th level. New players are welcome. You are welcome to create a character in advance using D&D Beyond. Little Stars – Over the Rainbow

Calling all future performers! Does your little one love to sing, dance, or act? Here’s your chance to watch them shine! This 10-week class meets for one (1) hour each week and features favorite songs surrounding a theme. The theme for the spring 2026 sessions is “Over the Rainbow.”

During class, participants will learn music, choreography, and lines from a script. They will present all that they have learned in an exciting Showcase on the last night of class. Little Stars is a great way to gain confidence, develop performance skills, and have fun.

Participants should bring a labeled water bottle to class each week. *There is an additional $10 supply fee that should be paid directly to the instructor at the first class meeting.

STAR Program - Disney’s 101 Dalmatians Kids For the Spring of 2025, the STAR Program classes will offer Disney’s 101 Dalmatians KIDS. Based on the classic film, Disney’s 101 Dalmatians KIDS is a fur-raising adventure featuring Cruella De Vil, Disney’s most outrageous villain, and 101 of the most adorable heroes to set their paws onstage. With a high-spirited score and lovable characters, this stage adaptation is certain to charm and delight all audiences. Pet owners, Roger and Anita, live happily in London with their Dalmatians, Pongo and Perdita, stalwart dogs devoted to raising their puppies. Everything is quiet until Anita’s former classmate, the monstrous Cruella De Vil, plots to steal the puppies for her new fur coat.

The Dalmatians rally all the dogs of London for a daring rescue of the puppies from Cruella and her bumbling henchmen.

STARbound: Disney on Broadway STARbound is a 10-week, 1.5 hour weekly class for those new to theatre and/or those who want to delve more into learning in more detail about the different aspects of theatre. The classes will focus on singing, acting, and dancing through games, exercises, miniworkshops, and performance. Students will learn about stage presence, projection, parts of the stage, roles of those in a production team, auditioning, and basic theatre etiquette.

The Winter/Spring 2026 session will center around the songs and roles of Disney on Broadway and end with a revue performance for friends and family members on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Williamson County Performing Arts Center in Franklin.

Zingers Teen Improv Class

This class will highlight the fun, creative, and skill-building aspects of improvisation through: • Focus on Fun & Creativity: The course emphasizes theater games and activities that foster spontaneity and imaginative thinking.

• Building Foundational Improv Skills: Work on interpretation and storytelling skills and learning core concepts like “yes, and...”, active listening, and scene work.

Star Bright Players Auditions – Disney’s Newsies For the spring of 2026, the Star Bright Players will produce Disney’s Newsies, the Disney film turned Tony-winning Broadway hit that inspires everyone to seize the day. Set in turn-of-the century New York City and inspired by a true story, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged “newsies.” When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what’s right!

Please refer to our website HERE in January for important pre-audition information and forms, including the ability to sign up for auditions.

Callbacks for some of those auditioning will be Thurs., Feb. 12.

If you do not get a call back, it does not mean that you will not be cast. The cast list will be emailed to those who audition by the end of the day on Saturday, February 14, 2026. **Once cast, a registration code will be provided to cast members. The Cast activity fee will be $225.

The Crew activity fee will be $60. There is an optional $10 show t-shirt fee that can be paid for at registration.

The Star Bright Players present Once Upon a Mattress For the fall of 2025, the Star Bright Players (ages 13-18) will produce Once Upon a Mattress, the beloved musical comedy, recently revived on Broadway with Sutton Foster as Winnifred. Many moons ago in a far-off place, Queen Aggravain decreed no couples could marry until her son, Prince Dauntless, found a bride. Princesses came from far and wide to win the hand of the prince, but none could pass the impossible tests given to them by the Queen. The Williamson County Community Band is an all-volunteer band of amateur and seasoned musicians.

This inter-generational group features approximately 60 musicians ranging in age from pre-teen to upper 80s and is made up of all skill levels. Everyone is welcome to pick up their instrument and join the band. Started in 2000, this band has grown and gained musical recognition and acclaim over the years throughout Williamson County and the surrounding mid-state area. Averaging several concerts a year, they perform free indoor and outdoor concerts for the community at various venues and parks, including The Williamson County Enrichment Center, The Factory, Aspen Grove, Westhaven, the Brentwood Library, Crockett Amphitheatre and the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.

Mission Statement: It is the goal of the Williamson County Community Chorus to engage passions, inspire achievement, deepen connections and broaden community through choral music.

The Williamson County Community Chorus was founded in 2017 under the direction of Dr. Linda Bolding. The chorus grew quickly and at only two years old was invited to sing at Carnegie Hall in February 2020. The chorus is open for participation by qualified High School students, adults and seniors who have past experience and a passion for singing. The chorus performs no less than twice a year at the culmination of each session: Fall/Winter (SeptDec) and Spring (Jan-April) and enjoys a break over the summer months. They have performed large scale concerts, singing with an orchestra, and most recently kicked off the Christmas season to an audience of nearly 800. The Rhythm & Spirit Dance Program of the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department provides classes for children and teens to dance and express themselves in a positive, non-competitive environment.

The program offers classes in 5 WCPR locations throughout Williamson County. The coordinators and instructors are ready to nurture each student’s goals whether they strive to dance professionally, to make the school dance team, or to have a great time dancing for exercise and fun!

Dance Birthday Parties

Celebrate your special day with a Rhythm & Spirit Dance Party! When booking with us, you will receive a customized 45 minute dance class with one of our Rhythm & Spirit Dance Instructors.

You will also have access to a second room where you can set up the party of the birthday child’s dreams. Dance Birthday Parties are for children ages 3 and up.

These classes is designed for dancers of all skill levels. **Registration for this class does not close and is open to enrollment throughout the dance year. *PLEASE NOTE: Classes runs August through May. Payment covers class for the first semester of our season and covers the materials needed for participation in the Adult Dance Class Showcase in May 2026.

Voice Lessons With Jada Cato

Jada Cato is a singer/songwriter who has graced stages across the world with her powerful voice, emotional lyrics, and animated storytelling. Jada is vocally trained in opera/classical, pop/rock, jazz, country, and musical theatre. With a BA in Theatre from Birmingham-Southern College, this rising star teaches workshops and private lessons in voice, acting, and performance. She also provides somatic movement consultations and workshops to give artists tools to cope with performance anxieties.

Lessons available to students ages 11 and up at the Enrichment Center and Nolensville Rec Center.

Learn to Play the Ukulele

Learning to play a musical instrument helps a child develop confidence and make the connection between effort and accomplishment. The ukulele is a perfect instrument for a child to master because it is easy to learn, very portable, and encourages the child to sing. In this class, students will learn to play the ukulele and accompany themselves singing some of their favorite songs. By the end of the program students will have learned enough to play full songs on their own. Students can bring their own ukulele or check one out from the instructor for use in class and to practice at home for the duration of the class. Group Piano Lessons

This piano group class will be structured as small interactive coaching classes. Students will use their iPad/tablet to access the music app that’s been selected to help with learning. The class is designed to give students exposure to piano and music, while mitigating the isolation aspect of individual piano coaching.

Students will have the opportunity to learn scales and theory together. However, they will also be able to practice individual pieces that are assigned (or at times, pieces they have been allowed to choose). This class is designed to allow individual students to receive both coaching and peer support. Lastly these classes will allow each student to perform small increments of music for their group to build confidence and musicianship. Senior Hikes & Senior Sport Trips “TAKE A HIKE” WITH US!

Each month, we will hit some local trails to walk and hike, enjoy a golf outing, a canoe adventure, experience zip-lining and more. Participants on hikes must be able to walk independently on different types of terrain.

Some places we go may have easy or more difficult experiences for seniors to choose from. You will need to provide your own snacks and water for hiking outings, and lunch may be an option offered on some sport trips.

These outings are weather dependent and if we need to cancel the outing we will notify everyone as soon as possible. Departure and return times vary. The cost of a hiking outing is $5 for transportation and cost will vary on sport trips. To see a current list of activites, visit HERE.

The WCPR Therapeutics Division is comprised of Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists (CTRS) who assist people with disabilities in developing skills, knowledge and behavior for daily living and community involvement.

We work to improve the physical, cognitive, social and leisure needs of the participant.

Our goal is to improve leisure functioning and independence.

Therapeutics Meal Prep 101

Description: In this new class, participants will make a meal for two to take home and eat or freeze for another day. Participants will also get to try the finished meal that the instructor prepares.

In February, participants will make Lasagna.

Therapeutics Fitness Fun

Come join us and get fit and have fun at the same time. We begin with stretching by using exercises and resistance bands then transition into strengthening with light hand weights and stability balls. We complete our workout with a 30 minute walk. Participants must be independent and can follow directions in a small group.

Therapeutics Recreation Night

This program offers different activities each month, such as dinner and movie, socials, karaoke night, and dances. Dinner, refreshments and dessert are also provided.

December - Annual Holiday Party: January - meet for dinner out at Carrabba’s; February - Breakfast for dinner and a movie. Dress in comfy lounge wear or PJs.

Therapeutics Breakfast Club/Lunch Bunch

Rise, dine, & shine! Whether it’s breakfast or lunch, let’s enjoy a meal together! We might try a new restaurant or hit one of our favorites, but each month we will eat yummy food while socializing with friends.

Transportation is not provided for this program. We will meet at the front of each restaurant before going in as a group. Before each breakfast club or lunch bunch, participants will be contacted with additional details. Meals will always be Dutch treat.
