Understanding Registration Codes and How to Use Them
WCPR activities that require registration through Williamson County Parks and Recreation’s ActiveNet registration system will be listed with a five digit code. The code is a unique identifier that can be used to search for that activity directly. In order to register for an activity, please click directly on the registration code listed in this guide or visit www.wcparksandrec.com. On the homepage, click on the big blue button that says “Online Registration.” Once taken to the next page, you can input the activity code into the search bar to be taken directly to that activity’s registration page.

ART - Acrylic Painting for Kids
Come have some fun painting with acrylics! Kids will learn basic brushstrokes, design, and artistic techniques while enjoying a fun-filled process that will make them feel good about being there and proud of their finished product. Outlines are provided, so kids can focus on their painting skills. An opportunity is given to create their own design, applying the skills they have learned. All supplies are provided! Enjoy art journaling as a way to try an idea before committing it to a canvas. Learn to use a variety of mediums and techniques as you journal with water-reactive tools that turn your thoughts into background color; see how to reverse write in a big, bold chunky style that showcases a funny thought or fun memory; consider using positive support words to add interest and texture to a page... all of these mindfulness techniques help to calm and relax a racing mind when living in uncertain and stressful times. Summer Children’s Theatre Auditions/Productions - Rising Stars Production -
The Rising Stars Summer Intensive 2021 production will be Schoolhouse Rock Live! JR, based on the ever-popular, award-winning 1970s cartoons. It follows Tom, a young schoolteacher, who is nervous about his first day of teaching. He tries to relax by watching TV, when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music. The Straight to the Stars Youth Theatre Summer production for 2021 will be “While the Lights Were Out”, an off-the-wall murder farce by Jack Sharkey that starts with a thunderstorm and follows with lights out, an agonized voice, and a pistol shot! The lights come up and a blonde stands over the dead man holding a bloody dagger. The detective examines the body and announces, “He’s been strangled!” This is but the opening of this shocking and hilarious murder mystery. Every clue is a doozy and the plot twists frantically. The delightful evening of mayhem moves crazily around the stage, leaving the audience breathless with surprise and laughter. The mystery is top-notch, the characters marvelous, and the comedy side-splitting! Annie Rice will direct this production. THERAPEUTICS - Enrichment Mini Camps Summer 2021, the Therapuetics Division will offer enrichment mini camps for children, adolescents, and young adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Offered in June and July, three sessions of enrichment mini camps will be available. Each session is three weeks long with each week geared towards a different age range. Enrichment mini camps will be offered at the Franklin Recreation Complex and the Williamson County Complex at Nolensville. For each session, there are different times to choose from each week. Please note: Families may register their child(ren) for all three sessions. However, for each individual session, please register for just one time slot. At the end of the registration period, if any individual sessions have any remaining spots, families will have the opportunity to sign up for an additional time slot. Please see the Waiting List information for details.
ELIGIBILITY
Participants must be a resident of Williamson County, ages 6-23 years (participants must be 6 years of age by May 31, 2021). All families will complete a general information form for their child(ren). Forms will be emailed in advance. A parent or legal guardian must complete this form and send it back to the Therapeutics Division prior to the start of the enrichment mini camp. For more information on our enrichment mini camps as well as all policies and procedures, a parent handbook is available on our website (www.wcparksandrec.com) under the Therapeutics tab (in the Camp Will section).

REFUND POLICY
A withdrawal must be submitted by email to Traci Hamby (traci.hamby@williamsoncounty-tn.gov) in advance. A refund check or credit to the parent/guardian’s account can be given if the withdrawal request is made 7 days before the enrichment mini camp start date. A credit to the parent/guardian’s account can be given if the withdrawal request is made less than 1-6 days before the enrichment mini camp start date. No refunds or credits will be given once the mini camp has begun.
