Anyone can do it! A 60-minute class starts with a warm up, upper-body light-weight series, barre series, and concludes with mat work (core, push ups, planks, stretch). The barre is used for balance. Tai Chi Tai Chi is a gentle exercise that is fun and suitable for all ages and compatibilities. Unlike most conventional exercise, the muscles and joints are relaxed instead of strained. Rather than jarring the body and straining muscles, Tai Chi promotes: blood flow with gentle, gliding motions, reduces joint paint, increases flexibility and range of motion, and increases strength and aerobic conditioning. Instructor: Kristen Anderson. For more information, contact Andrew Hawken at Andrew.Hawken@williamsoncounty-tn.gov or (615) 799-9331 ext. 2315.
