WCNY is so pleased to welcome back students to our Enterprise America City!
Friday, December 2, WCNY welcomed seventh and eighth grade students from Southern Cayuga to the Enterprise America City. Student and teachers spent several weeks teaching the curriculum in school and preparing for the day of their visit. While lead teachers, Steve Baumes and Heather Snyder, have participated in the Enterprise America program before, they were excited to learn about the changes WCNY has made to the program.

The updates include making the curriculum available to teachers through Google Drive, making implementation of the individual lessons easier. Also, WCNY’s creation of pre-made Google Slides, which will enable teachers to facilitate the lessons without taking away from valuable prep periods.
Students from Southern Cayuga enjoyed utilizing tablets within their businesses to track their sales and make crucial revenue decisions based on the data collected. The HP Sprocket instant pictures at the Media Company (formerly the Broadcast Center) and the coding games at the Technology Shop, both new this year, were also a big hit among the approximately 100 students!
Thank you, Southern Cayuga, for all your hard work, and especially for being amazing Enterprise America Citizens!
