Pick a county, any county, across the Central New York region and you’re sure to a find a fall event with delicious food, live music, and a host of enjoyable, unique experiences for all ages. Here’s your guide to fall fun in ’21!

CAYUGA COUNTY: ALMOST HEAVEN- THE SONGS OF JOHN DENVER

CHENANGO COUNTY: COLORSCAPE CHENANGO ARTS FESTIVAL

CHENANGO East and West Parks located in the middle of downtown Norwich, NY (607) 336-3378 colorscape.org The Colorscape Chenango Arts Festival brings in 10-12,000 people each year. You can enjoy juried art and fine crafts for sale in an interactive atmosphere, acoustic music by professional singer-songwriters, literary arts, creative culinary arts, and hands-on art for all ages. Admission and all activities are entirely free of charge. This outdoor festival will take place on the weekend after Labor Day, rain or shine.

CORTLAND COUNTY: SUMMITSIX

Sept. 16 to Sept. 19 (until 9 a.m.)

Hosting SummitSix is Founder Anissa Buckley—a certified trainer and health coach specializing in nutrition who holds an MBA from Cornell University. Tickets cost $1,350—$2,500 and include lodging, opening and closing dinners with renowned motivational speakers, a post-summit party, meals, snacks, music and emcee motivation entertainment, giveaways, and more.

HERKIMER COUNTY: FALL HARVEST FESTIVAL

At this festival, you can take a wagon ride around the Herkimer Diamond KOA Resort campground or stop by the pavilion to paint pumpkins! In addition, you can enjoy apple cider, donuts, and taking part in an autumn scavenger hunt!

The 30th Annual Pasta for CASA is a drive-thru-only event this year and will feature specialty pasta dishes from Pizano's Pizza. There will be food for the family and over 70 Raffle and Silent Auction Baskets. For $15 per person, you can get chicken riggies, pasta primavera, or spaghetti (with or without meatballs) plus salad, dessert, a roll, and a beverage. Pre-orders with payment, which can be placed over the phone, are encouraged.

The Big and Tall Comedy Tour began in 2018 and features comedy veteran Ernesto "Big Ern" Galano and nationally touring headliner Mike Bova. When they aren't playing major venues across America, they're playing American Legions and VFWs, raising money for our nation's veterans. This is a one-of-a-kind show with a mix of stand-up, song parodies, and celebrity impressions you don't want to miss! Tickets cost $20 in advance and $30 at the door.

Yogis of all abilities are welcome to join an hour-long lakeside yoga class instructed by teachers with diverse teaching styles. Focusing on breath and balance, you are invited to soak in the sunshine as you sit lakeside and start your morning with beauty and serenity. You should bring your mat if you have one (extras will be available), as well as a water bottle, sunscreen, and a small towel. Tickets cost $20 per person and include one complimentary cocktail.

Ottoman Empire. De Borchgrave is one of today’s most creative European artists. Her works have been shown internationally, and Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute is the only northeast American venue for this extended tour.

ONONDAGA COUNTY: GOLDEN HARVEST FESTIVAL

This 43rd old-fashioned, country fair-style event has something for people of all ages. There is constant music, live entertainment, arts & crafts vendors, unique games, wildlife programs which include live animal demonstrations, hands-on nature activities, canoeing & kayaking, horse-drawn hayrides, a variety of food, and more. Audiences can participate as both contestants and judges in the Living Scarecrow, Wild Critter Call, and Pie Eating contests. Tickets (cash only) cost $5 for adults, $1 for children ages 6-17, and children five and under are admitted for free.

ONTARIO COUNTY: ANTIQUE CAR SHOW & BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL

At this festival, you can enjoy both bumpers and banjos! Walk around the grounds while listening to bluegrass music and marveling at all of the antique cars on display. Tickets can be purchased for $20 online through September 16th and then at the admissions booth after this date.

OTSEGO COUNTY: COOPERSTOWN ARTISAN FESTIVAL

The courtyard of the Otsego County Campus will be transformed into an outdoor Artisan Festival, complete with live music and food. Main Street will come alive with a weekend full of arts and music. The festival is free and open to the general public in accordance with health requirements at the time of the event.

SENECA COUNTY: MONTEZUMA NATIONAL WILDLIFE TOUR ADVENTURE

This unique wildlife tour will lead you on a guided exploration of marshes, pools, and channels which have become the habitat for migratory waterfowl. You'll get to learn about what is required to make the site productive for the many species of wildlife found at this refuge, as well as the history of this landmark. You'll also have the opportunity to explore the landscape on foot and then through a 3.5-mile drive to observe wildlife in their natural habitat. Tickets are $59 per person, and a portion of this cost will go directly to the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge.

YATES The Keuka Arts Festival is a free, annual fine art and skilled craft show held along the Keuka Lake Outlet Trail. The festival typically juries in over 100 artists & vendors and expects approximately 8,000 attendees. Live music will be played throughout the festival, featuring jazz, blues, swing, rock, and more. In addition, there will be dancers, singers, clowns, artistic demonstrations, food and drinks from local restaurants, food trucks, wineries, breweries, and local produce and products from farmer's market vendors.
