For Our Members ...

There’s so much to watch, listen and participate in this month! Take a look back at Boblo Boats from Detroit, NOVA: Back to the Moon, The Threads Fashion Show at CMU and a fascinating show from NATURE all about woodpeckers. Listen to “From the Ground Up” a new series of audio shorts all about plants hosted by Judy Wagley. And join us this summer as we promote reading at libraries including Traverse City, Clare, Mt. Pleasant with Xavier Riddle and Molly of Denali. If you’d like your library to participate – have them call Renee Mahon at WCMU. All of this and so much more come your way largely because of your support – thank you!

This month we welcome six CMU interns who will serve as reporters paired with newspapers across our coverage area. They’ll be reporting from Alpena, Traverse City, Cadillac, Bad Axe, Midland and Big Rapids.

We’ll also be hosting Grandparents U at CMU – this is a day where we talk with students about the value of asking good questions, and then they put those skills to work by interviewing their grandparents.

As we count down to the end of the fiscal year on June 30th – you’ll see and hear messages as we rally support from others. We’ll be working towards raising $301,739!
