For Our Members ... Dear WCMU listeners, viewers, and supporters, As the air turns crisp and the leaves paint our Michigan landscapes with shades of red and gold, it’s a natural time for reflection and gratitude. November is a month synonymous with giving thanks, and it’s in that spirit that I extend my deepest appreciation to you. Your support makes it possible for WCMU to be a beacon of information, culture, and community connection. This November, our tradition of giving continues with the WCMU Foodraiser. Not only is this a chance for us to connect through the power of community radio, but it’s also an opportunity to give back. Last year, thanks to you, we provided over 8,600 meals to those in need. This year, our sights are set even higher, and we hope you’ll join us in making a difference right here in our own backyards. We also have an eye on Giving Tuesday, that global day of generosity. After the hustle and bustle of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday gives us an opportunity to support the causes that nourish our souls. I invite you to participate by making a special contribution to WCMU. You’ll also be able to vote for another favorite Michigan non-profit of yours, and the winning

organizations will receive free airtime on WCMU to talk about the important work they are doing in our community! In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I am profoundly thankful for the ways in which each of you contribute to the vibrant tapestry of our WCMU community. On behalf of everyone at WCMU, I wish you and your loved ones a Thanksgiving filled with joy, and a November brimming with purpose. With warm regards, with.

Mike Horace Radio Program and Operations Manager

Support Your Community with WCMU Foodraiser!

Nov. 16 - Nov. 20, 2023 Warm up those giving spirits, because this November, WCMU is cooking up something special for you and your neighbors – the WCMU Foodraiser! When you chip in during our Foodraiser campaign, you won’t just get our heartfelt thanks. You’ll have the option to turn a portion of your contribution into a ‘Gift of Food’ for a local family in need. Imagine this: your generous gift helping put warm meals on the tables of those who need it most, right in your own community. Last year, our amazing listeners helped provide over 8,600 meals. This year, we’re aiming for over 10,000 meals being distributed in central and northern Michigan. Mark your calendars! The WCMU Foodraiser runs November 16 – 20, and you can make your donation and give the ‘Gift of Food’ at WCMU.org. 22
