Sanditon Season 2 on Masterpiece The fan-favorite drama inspired by Jane Austen’s final, unfinished novel is back! After the first season’s finale left viewers hanging in suspense, the story continues with its high-spirited heroine, Charlotte Heywood, returning to the picturesque coastal resort of Sanditon and the companionship of her friend Georgiana Lambe. What adventures, scandals, intrigue and above all else — romance — await Miss. Heywood this season? Begins Sunday, March 20 at 9 p.m. on WCMU

Inside Europe is a one-hour weekly news magazine, exploring the topical issues shaping the continent. Saturday at 7 a.m. and Monday at 2 a.m.

Welcome to our new reporter Rick Brewer He joins us as a reporter March 1st. Brewer has been making radio stories and podcasts since 2015. Soon after beginning graduate school at Indiana University in Bloomington, Brewer began making radio stories for WFIU Public Radio and became an Executive Producer for WIUX’s weekly show American Student Radio. In June 2019, Brewer joined Iowa Public Radio to help produce two daily, statewide talk shows, Talk of Iowa and River to River, and served as a substitute host for Mid-day and Weekend Edition. When he’s not cutting tape, Brewer can be found hiking, reading history books, scanning the AM radio dial, and thinking of future cat names with his wife. His favorite NPR program is Here & Now.

WCMU Public Radio has been selected as one of 70 new host newsrooms by Report for America, an initiative of The GroundTruth Project. This spring WCMU will be provided a slate of corps member journalists to interview. The selected journalist will join the staff of WCMU this summer and will target environmental issues in rural Michigan – think PFAS contamination, the Enbridge Line 5 Pipeline through the Straits of Mackinac, fertilizer run off, community flooding and other impacts of climate change. Report for America will cover half of the new reporter’s salary in the first year. WCMU is responsible for matching that support from the community. We’re excited at the opportunity to build our reporting capacity and make it sustainable through the support of listeners like you tuning in every day.

Sundays at 2 pm WCMU Public Radio
