Middle school is a dynamic time in the life of a student - physically, emotionally and mentally. At West, we embrace this dynamism and provide a challenging, empowering, equitable and developmentally responsive learning environment. We routinely celebrate our students and their accomplishments. Opened 1951 as Wayzata Junior/Senior High School. Served as the high school and a junior high school until 1997 when it was converted to West Middle School.

Our newly expanded high school is home to all of our district’s 9th – 12th graders. Bursting with energy and opportunity, this remarkable campus is home to a caring community of students, teachers and staff who encourage and support one another. Our goal is to equip students with the skills and confidence they need to be happy, healthy and successful in school and life, both while they are here and after they graduate. Opened in 1997. New expansion to be completed January 2017.

We’re here for you.
