Call to Worship
This is the day that the Lord has made We will rejoice and be glad in it!
When the flavor of God’s kingdom seems absent in the world around us
Let us be the salt of the earth!
When the path of humanity seems lost or dark.
Let us be the light of the world!
In a world of distractions
Let us find Jesus and walk in his way.
Let us worship together in the hope and love of Jesus!
+ Hymn 409
God is Here!
+ Call to Confession
+ Prayer of Confession | Written in Youth Group
ABBOT'S LEIGH
Loving God, we are grateful that we can come to you with our burdens and our confessions. We know that we mess up and disappoint ourselves and others. We know you will always love and accept us, no matter what. We believe you are waiting and ready to hear our prayer and to forgive us. For the times when we are careless, neglecting our responsibilities and lacking self-control, please, forgive us. For the times when we ignore, exclude or bully someone who needs a friend, please, forgive us. For unkind words and negative attitudes, please, forgive us. For taking our eyes off of You and going our own way, please, forgive us. As we receive the forgiveness you promise, help us to find Jesus and walk in his way. We pray with grateful hearts and in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Time for Reflection
+ Affirmation of Faith | Written by the Confirmation Class of 2024
We believe in a loving, creator Father, a savior Son, and a guiding Holy Spirit. God gives us the gift of his grace. We believe grace is everything we need, yet we don’t deserve it. God gives us the gift of his Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus cared more about people than power, and his message to love one another can transform the world. We believe Jesus is at work through the Holy Spirit, who gives us guidance to grow in our faith. We believe that faith grows, learns, and evolves. We need to leave room for the Holy Spirit to act in the busyness of our lives to help us participate in the work of the church. We are the Children of God!
