+ Call to Worship
You, who are many, are transformed to become one in Christ. We, who are many, are called to worship God, the Three in One. Let us worship God together.
+ Hymn 620: LAUDA ANIMA Praise , My Soul , the King of Heaven
+ Call to Confession
+ Prayer of Confession
Forgiving God, we confess that we are conformed to this world. We conform to this world’s frantic pace, too hectic to notice all the blessings you provide. We conform to this world’s reckless waste, exploiting what you entrust to our care. We conform to this world’s shallow values, oblivious to the giftedness of people different from us. We conform to this world’s impatient attitudes, preferring the latest instead of the lasting. Forgive our conformity and transform us, O God. We pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
+ Declaration of Forgiveness
If it has not been the Lord who was on our side, we would now be lost in sin. But it is the Lord who is on our side. And so we are forgiven. Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. Hear the Good News: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! Thanks be to God.
+ Response of Praise: Hymn 581

How Can I Keep from Singing?
Robert Lehman (b. 1960)
My life flows on in endless song; above earth's lamentation , I hear the sweet , tho' faroff hymn that hails a new creation; thro' all the tumult and the strife , I hear the music ringing; it finds an echo in my soul , How can I keep from singing? What tho' my joys and comforts die? The Lord my Savior liveth; what tho' the darkness gather round? Songs in the night he giveth. No storm can shake my inmost calm While to that refuge clinging; since Christ is Lord of heaven and earth , How can I keep from singing? I lift my eyes; the cloud grows thin; I see the blue above it; and day by day this pathway smooths , since first I learned to love it; the peace of Christ makes fresh my heart , a fountain ever springing; all things are mine since I am his , How can I keep from singing? - Robert Lowry (1826-1899)
Sermon | “Working it Out” | The Rev. Ryan Balsan
Time for Reflection
+ Affirmation of Faith | The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

O God , Beyond All Praising Melody (Thaxted) by Gustav Holst (1874-1932) Setting by Richard Proulx (1937-2010)
O God beyond all praising, we worship you today and sing the love amazing that songs cannot repay; For we can only wonder at every gift you send , at blessings without number and mercies without end: We lift our hearts before you and wait upon your word , we honor and adore you, our great and mighty Lord. The flow'r of earthly splendor in time must surely die , its fragile bloom surrender to you, the Lord most high; but hidden from all nature the eternal seed is sown - though small in mortal stature , to heaven's garden grown: for Christ the man from heaven from death has set us free , and we through him are given the final victory. Then hear , O gracious Savior , accept the love we bring, that we who know your favor may serve you as our King; And whether our tomorrows be filled with good or ill , we’ll triumph through our sorrows and rise to bless You still: To marvel at Your beauty and glory in Your ways, and make a joyful duty our sacrifice of praise. Text: Michael Perry
