Trad. African-American Spiritual Setting: Charles Callahan (1951–2023)
+ Call to Worship From north and south, from east and west, we come: people called to the Table where God’s grace nourishes us. God’s people are called to community, where we live and serve one another. From every class, every race, every status; we come with open hearts. As God’s people we seek God’s will and power, to offer peace to a shattered world, and to feast together at one table. Let us worship God together! + Hymn 318: In Christ There Is No East or West
ST. PETER
+ Call to Confession + Prayer of Confession God of Grace, We grieve that the church which shares one Spirit, one faith, one hope, and one calling, has become a broken communion in a broken world. The one body spans all time, place, race, and language, but in our fear we have fled from and fought one another, and in our pride we have mistaken our part for the whole. Yet we marvel that you gather the pieces to do your work, that you bless us with joy, with growth, and with signs of unity. Forgive our sins as we commit ourselves to seeking and showing the unity of the body of Christ. In his name, Amen. + Declaration of Forgiveness People of God, hear these words of assurance from Ephesians 2:8: “For it is by grace that you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” The salvation that we have from the Lord is a gift. We didn’t earn it. We don’t deserve it. God just gives it to us by God’s grace. Let us therefore live new and renewed lives in service to Christ Jesus. Friends, hear and believe the Good News: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven.

+ Passing of the Peace The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. And also with you. Words of Welcome & Announcements Prayer for Illumination Scripture Reading | Mark 10:35-45 | NT, p. 36 + Hymn 738: O Master, Let Me Walk with Thee
Scripture Reading | Ephesians 4:1-24 | NT, p. 149-150 Sermon | “Growing Up” | The Rev. Ryan Balsan Time for Reflection The Sacrament of Baptism | 9:30AM Service Carter James Henderson & John David Henderson Sons of Christopher & Ashley Henderson + Affirmation of Faith | The Apostles’ Creed I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, is seated at the right hand of the Father Almighty, and will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

A song of peace for lands afar and mine. This is my home, the country where my heart; here are my hopes, my dreams, my holy shrine. But other hearts in other lands are beating, with hopes and dreams as true and high as mine. My country’s skies are bluer than the ocean, and sunlight beams on cloverleaf and pine. But other lands have sunlight too, and clover, and skies are everywhere as blue as mine. Oh, hear my song, O God of all the nations, a song of peace for their land and for mine. This is my song, O God of all the nations, a song of peace for their land and for mine. + Doxology (Hymn 606) and Prayer of Dedication

To collect more food items than the number of total yards gained by the Eagles in the previous week's game. Together, we can make a winning impact. Questions? Contact Scott Laird at: hslaird@aol.com.
