+ Call to Worship
Come and hear the call to worship. Come and be renewed. We are called into fellowship, worship, and service, called to celebrate and share the good news of God’s love. Let our compassion and love increase among us and overflow into our community. Let our hearts and minds be open to hearing the call of discipleship, the call to serve God in heart, body, and mind. Let us worship today in heart, body, and mind. Let us be transformed by the good news of God’s love! Amen.
+ Hymn 409:
LEIGH God is Here!
+ Call to Confession
+ Prayer of Confession
Loving God, you call us to a life of service and generosity in all that we do. You call us to feed and clothe those in need, and to reach out our hands to those who need it most in our society. But too often, we stray from our calling. When we face tough obstacles, we cast blame upon one another. We turn inward and think we can handle everything on our own and ignore your guidance. Forgive us of the ways we have strayed away from your calling upon our lives. When our independence turns into loneliness, you remind us we need each other. You remind us we were made to be Christ to each other. Lord, inspire us to reach out to each other and press further into service. Call us into generosity of spirit, so that we might see what happens when, with your help, we work for your love and justice in the world. In your name, we pray. Amen.
+ Declaration of Forgiveness
We are loved, claimed, and called as Christ’s beloved. Friends, believe the Good News of the Gospel. In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Thanks be to God!
+ Response of Praise: Hymn 581
ABBOT’S
+ Passing of the Peace
The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. And also with you.

More Love Traditional Shaker Hymn | Setting: Sid Davis
More love , more love; the heavens are blessing, the angels are calling, O Zion , more love. If ye love not each other in daily communion , how can ye love God , whom ye have not seen?
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descendedinto hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Fatheralmighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holycatholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

FOR VOLUNTEERS
Let us pray. Almighty God, you have called us into fellowship as the Church of Jesus Christ in this place, and you have blessed us and enriched our lives through your Holy Word and Sacraments. You strengthen us and inspire us with your Holy Spirit to live lives of mutual love and service in the world. For all this, and, above all, for the gift of your Son and our salvation, we give our heartfelt thanks and praise:
We give you thanks, O Lord.
For those who lead and those who follow; for our ordained officers: Elders, Deacons, Stewards; for all those who devote their time to service on committees:
We give you thanks, O Lord.
For ushers and for lay readers; for musicians, including our adult, youth, and children’s choirs, handbell choirs, and orchestra; for Audio/Visual volunteers; for all those who assist in worship and lead us in word and song:
We give you thanks, O Lord.
For those who help make our church a welcoming place; for those who greet at the door and welcome visitors in Christ’s name; for those who serve coffee and all those who bring treats for fellowship on a Sunday morning; for those who beautifully decorate our Sanctuary each season:
We give you thanks, O Lord.
For the singers, musicians, administrators, and leaders of the Wayne Oratorio Society:

We give you thanks, O Lord.
We give you thanks, O Lord. For those who give and those who pray; for those who plan and those who guide; for those with wisdom and those with inspiration:
For those who are the hands and feet of God’s mission beyond our doors. For those who strive to ensure that none of our neighbors are hungry. For those who donate their time and resources to children in SW Philadelphia by tutoring, teaching music, or otherwise engaging with them. For all those who work for justice, donating their time, gifts, and material goods to help those who need it most in our neighborhood and in our world:
We give you thanks, O Lord.
We give you thanks, O Lord. For our past and for our future, for the many ways that we embody Christ for the needy in the world, for mission and ministry, and for a purpose for being the Church:
Bind us to your love, and through that love, to one another, for the sake of the gospel. Make us cheerful givers and faithful workers for the kingdom of your Son. Make us one in the body of Christ that we may acknowledge with gratefulness the importance of all our members and all our gifts for the mission that you give us
We give you thanks, O Lord.
Lift up the weak among us. Heal the sick. Relieve the distressed. Comfort the mourning. Especially we pray for [Moment of silence], and for all those we name in our hearts before you. Be our strong rock and a refuge to keep us safe. Hear our prayer, O Lord.
We thank you for all the good people of faith that you have raised up among us for the work of the gospel. Multiply our gifts by your Holy Spirit. Be in our hands and our minds and our words that we might bring your love to the world. And prosper our work to the glory of your holy name; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who taught us to pray, saying… [Lord’s Prayer] Amen.
