+ Call to Worship
Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with gladness; come into his presence with thanksgiving. Know that the LORD is God. It is he that made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him, bless his name. For the LORD is good, his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.
+ Hymn 35: LOBE DEN HERREN Praise Ye the Lord , the Almighty
+ Call to Confession
+ Prayer of Confession
Holy God, you show us your justice. You call for us to be emissaries of your peace and righteousness in our world. But time and time again, we seek our own good above the needs and the good of others. We walk in the ways of power, pride, and greed, rather than walking in loving communion with you and with one another. We are lost, Lord. Yet again and again you lead us mercifully back to you. You ask to have faith that you love and accept us despite our missteps and broken vision of justice. Set us free from conflict with others and free from the conflict within ourselves. May your Spirit renew us in your vision of justice. Compel us by your grace and love to work for every form of human flourishing in your name. Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
+ Declaration of Forgiveness
No matter what we have done or left undone, our God is full of grace, love, and mercy. Believe the Good News of the Gospel. In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven.
+ Response of Praise: Glory Be to the Father

+ Passing of the Peace
The peace of Christ be with you. And also with you.

Affirmation of Faith | The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Offertory Anthem | Summer Chancel Choir
O Love! O Life! Stephan Casurella (b. 1973)
O Love! O Life! Our faith and sight thy presence maketh one , as through transfigured clouds of white we trace the noonday sun. So , to our mortal eyes subdued , flesh-veiled , but not concealed , we know in thee the fatherhood and heart of God revealed. We faintly hear , we dimly see , in differing phrase we pray; but , dim or clear , we own in thee. The Light, the Truth , the Way! Our friend , our brother , and our Lord , what may thy service be? Nor name , nor form , nor ritual word , but simply following thee. Thy litanies , sweet offices of love and gratitude; Thy sacramental liturgies, the joy of doing good. - John Greenleaf Whittier (1807-1892)
