Words of Welcome

Come, let us worship our God, for there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Parent of all, who is above all and through all and in all. We come with humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with one another in love.

God, you have called us to live lives worthy of the calling to which we have been called. But we confess to you and each other that we have not always spoken the truth in love; we have not always made every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Forgive us and, by your grace, help us to grow in every way into him who is our head, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Friends, believe the Good News of the Gospel. In Jesus Christ we are forgiven.

Time for Reflection
Affirmation of Faith | 1 Cor. 15:1–6; Mark 16:1–9; Matt. 16:16; Rev. 22:13; John 20:28
This is the good news which we have received, in which we stand, and by which we are saved, if we hold it fast: that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day, and that he appeared first to the women, then to Peter, and to the Twelve, and then to many faithful witnesses. We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus Christ is the first and the last, the beginning and the end; he is our Lord and our God. Amen.

For Everyone Born

Brian Mann (b. 1950)\Setting: Tom Trenney (b. 1978)
For everyone born, a place at the table, for everyone born, clean water and bread, a shelter, a space, a safe place for growing, for or everyone born a star overhead. And God will delight when we are creators of justice and joy, compassion and peace. Yes, God will delight when we are creators of justice, justice and joy. For woman and man, a place at the table, revising the roles, deciding the share. With wisdom and grace
Offertory Anthem | continued from previous page
dividing the power, for woman and man a system that's fair. For young and for old, a place at the table, a voice to be heard, a part in the song. The hands of a child in hands that are wrinkled, for young and for old the right to belong. For everyone born, a place at the table, to live without fear and simply to be. To work, to speak out, to witness and worship, for everyone born, the right to be free.
