Traditional Spiritual Setting: Charles Callahan (1951-2023)

How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live togetherin unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robe. It is as if the dewof Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there theLordbestows his blessing, even life forevermore.

Lord , I Looked Down the Road

William Grant Still (1895-1978)

Lord , I looked down the road and I wondered , and I wondered. ‘Twas a long way to go. Lord , I didn’t think that I could ever make it , for it was a long way to go. Lord , I buckled on my shoes and I started. ‘Twas a long way to go.

Sermon | The Rev. Ryan Balsan | “Who Cares?”

Time for Reflection

Affirmation of Faith | The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

SCOUT SUNDAY

February 09, 2025

A SCOUT IS REVERENT

Radnor Troop 284, Trailblazers 284, and Cub Pack 284 would like to thank Wayne Presbyterian Church for their sponsorship and support of our Scouting program. Today is Scout Sunday where we recognize the 12th point of the Scout Law: A Scout is Reverent. We would also to thank the congregation of Wayne Presbyterian Church for their support of the annual Christmas wreath and popcorn sales that fund the programming for these young men and women. If you are interested in membership or more information, please visit the websites listed below or feel free to contact Doug Bruhns: Radnor284cmtchair@gmail.com.

RADNOR 284

Radnor 284 is 104 years of continuous development of youth and boys in Scouting. Meetings are held Saturday mornings at our cabin located on the former Ardrossan property during the warmer months, and at Wayne Presbyterian Church during the winter. The Troop reaches out to the community with a variety of Eagle projects ranging from trail work, food collections, and many other local community improvement projects. The Troop focuses on character building, and outdoor adventure and camping throughout the year culminating with a two-week trip in July. This summer we will be embarking on the traditional 100 mile canoe trip in the Adirondacks in New York State. www.bsa284.org

TRAILBLAZERS 284

Trailblazers 284 is an all-female unit started six years ago which has grown to more than 25 active female scouts. This unit is following the same scouting principles that have been followed for the past 100 years learning leadership, community service, and outdoor skills. Six females have earned the Rank of Eagle Scout, and several more are close to completing this high achievement. This past summer the unit will be backpacking and rock climbing in Vermont, and recently had the 1st unit return from a weeklong adventure at Sea Base in the Florida Keys. www.bsa284g.com

CUB PACK 284

Cub Pack 284 meets primarily at Wayne Elementary School. Our membership represents the wide diversity of beliefs and cultures from the community we serve. Our Pack has grown back from Covid to over 60 registered Cub Scouts in K through 5th grades. Pack 284 reaches out to help the community with recent conservation projects at the Willows and Wayne Elementary and Wayne Food Pantry.
