2025EASTER EGG TREE Deacons'
WHAT IS THE DEACON EASTER EGG TREE MINISTRY?
Each year the Deacons work with our mission partners to provide an Easter meal and seasonal items to families in need. This year we will provide food to families from:
Salt & Light Community Church in Southwest Philadelphia Salvation Army in Norristown
St. John AME Church in Rosemont
Those wishing to participate may do so by selecting a family and filling a bin with the items listed on the shopping lists provided by our mission partners. Adding additional goodies is also encouraged!
To make your selection, visit our website at www.waynepres.org/easter-egg-shop or in person during coffee hour in the connector.
Items should be placed in properly labeled bin and dropped off at the church during the designated drop off date and time.
The bins are then delivered to our mission partners and are always met with joy and gratitude.
DROP OFF ON SATURDAY, APRIL 12 BETWEEN 8AM-9:30AM
in the Wayne Presbyterian Church Parking Lot. If necessary, early drop off can be arranged.

HOW DOES THIS WORK?
3 EASY STEPS!
1. SELECT YOUR FAMILY
From the Easter Egg Tree in the Connector (each egg represents one family and indicates the mission partner).
2. SHOP FOR YOUR FAMILY
Via the WPC Website, where you may filter the online order form by the mission partner
Each family or individual selected should be provided with the necessary food items to enjoy a holiday meal. This will vary depending on the size of the family and the ages of the individuals Suggested food items are listed on the following pages. Additional goodies, such as toys, games and clothes for children or toiletries and towels for adults are also appreciated. Gift Cards are a great alternative, as well!
3. PACK AND DELIVER YOUR FAMILY’S MEAL AND GOODIES!

Packing for your family
Food and other items tend to be heavy so it’s important to have a strong container for transport. You may use more than one bin, just be sure to label all your containers. Please be sure each container can be carried by one person
We recommend:
Plastic bins (no larger than 72 quart or 18 gallon) are ideal for transporting the items and are also particularly useful for the receiving families to reuse.
Medium sized heavy duty cardboard boxes, which can be found at home supply or packaging stores. A limited number of these will be available in the connector.
