Opening Doors to Careers
Beginning in October 2021, the FWC Employability Coalition launched its Possibilities Career Awareness campaign, targeting five careers across multiple platforms. The campaign shows our residents that there are local high-need jobs, local employers that are hiring, local education providers, and opportunities for career growth in Wayne County. The campaign will continue in 2022.

In 2021, FWC facilitated the NICE! (Neighborhood Involvement & Community Engagement) program, a six-week community development program developed with support from Lilly Endowment Inc. NICE! provided no-cost training on how to bring a group together, create a project by engaging the community, and use the project to better neighborhoods and communities across the county. All told, 22 participants representing various organizations and communities completed the training.
