By Loretta Cozart Five weeks ago, Emily Harris opened her first brick and mortar store in downtown Kings Mountain at the corner of Cherokee and Gold Streets. Named for her grandparents, Jack and Georgia Hutchins, Harris carries trendy women’s clothing targeting teens and twenty-year-olds. “I wanted to include cute tops, bottoms, dresses, shoes, swimwear, outerwear and accessories for young women. We are close by, so girls won’t have to go to out-of town anymore to get that cute top or graduation dress,” Harris says. While in her third year of college, Harris started her blog Well Hot Glam as part of her New Year’s Resolution. Within a year and a half, the blog had grown from a hobby into a full business where she shared her experiences and fashion items. Through her experience with the blog, she discovered her passion for entrepreneurship. Harris graduated from

Harris said her father, Mike Harris, suggested, “I think you should just go for it.” In October 2018, the JACK & georgia online store opened for business.
