The Kings Mountain woman, diagnosed in 2014, and a team of “Voices for Vickie” are holding a fun night of jamming at American Legion Post 155, York Road, on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. and all proceeds and donations go to the ALS Association in honor of “Voices for Vickie” for research. Donation tickets are $8 and the event is for those older than 13. “Apples and Airplanes” and Alex Christie will provide music for jamming. Chaney’s team has sponsored ALS walks and a recent walk in Charlotte was highly successful. Team captains are Robin Edmiston and Melanie Shumaker. They say that you can make ALS

I know a lot of people s struggle in math but I wanted to bring the material down to their level and help others to be successful. As corny as it sounds, I wanted a profession that made a difference every day.’’
