Check out the Pinwheels

Creating awareness of child abuse Check out the pinwheel garden at the corner lot at the Kings Mountain Police Department. Members of the Kings Mountain Woman’s Club Public Issues committee, in collaboration with Police, planted a pinwheel garden to create awareness of child abuse. “This is a perfect spot because drivers have to stop at the stop sign at the corner,’’ said Chief of Police Melvin Proctor, who with Det. Lt. Lisa Proctor, assisted the clubwomen on Thursday in planting the pinwheels as winds whipped around the corner and the blue pinwheels became a colorful display surrounding a poster.
