Travis Hodge, Chief Executive Officer of the Lunar Data Systems LLC HODGE of Kings Mountain, objects to the recent prayer policy adopted by the Cleveland County Board of Education and he spoke at Monday night's school board meeting about his objections. “Government has an obligation to represent its people and I strongly object to taxpayer dollars used for propagation of a religious agenda used for

political purposes,'' he said . Hodge told the board “ I am not anti-religious but I don't agree with government officials making a religious policy. It was irresponsible for this board to vote for this policy.'' “I am disappointed with this board, it is not your duty to push a religious agenda.” The board recently adopted a policy to allow invocations at the monthly meetings by individuals instead of silent prayer but requires those wishing to pray the invocations to sign up in advance with See HODGE, Page 4A
