KMLT Musical opens Friday The groovy musical, “Have A Nice Day” will be presented by the Kings Mountain Little Theatre on two weekends beginning Friday, March 11, at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 12 at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, March 13 matinee at 3 p.m. and on March 18 and 19 at 7:30 p.m. at Joy Performing Arts Theatre in downtown Kings Mountain. Wendy Walega is directing the show and choreographer is Dawn Ruckus. Libby

Early voting ends Saturday

In broad daylight Sunday

Police say juvenile fought off attacker Kyle Matthew Moore, 19, of 205 Duke St., faces charges of second degree sex offense, a felony, and sexual battery, a misdemeanor, after allegedly attacking a juvenile in broad daylight Sunday afternoon, according to Det. Cpl. K. L. Hamrick of the Kings Mountain Police Department. Kings Mountain Police responded to a call on West Gold Street near Phifer Road about 2 p.m. Sunday where they found a juvenile who described being attacked by an unknown suspect. The juvenile's name and age was not released. According to a press

Early voting for the March 15 Primary continues 3 ½ days this week at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 220 N. Watterson Street. Election officials said the turnout is a little lower than anticipated. From Thursday through Saturday, the first three days of early voting, 1,263 ballots were cast in the county. Of those ballots, 1, 888 were cast at the county's two voter locations. The remaining ballots

were absentee filings. The polls will be open Wednesday (today), Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and ends Saturday, March 12, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Voters can register to vote and cast a ballot during early voting only. A voter ID is required to vote in person. The other early voting site in Cleveland County is Bethel Baptist Church, 606 S. DeKalb Street in Shelby.
