Program at the Patrick Center in KM helps seniors write their life stories By Alan Hodge “Everyone has a story to tell, but they don’t know they have it.” That’s what Regina Baynard tells folks who take part in the “Your Story, Your Way” journaling program held the first and third Wednesday of each month from 11:30am12:30pm at the H. Lawrence Patrick Senior Life and Conference Center, 909 E. Kings St., in Kings Mountain. The program lets participants share stories from their life and learn how to chronicle them not only for their own pleasure but for anyone they care to share them within this or future generations. Baynard, who was born on a farm in Ohio in 1948,
Your Story, Your Way program leader Regina Baynard (left), and participants Marlene Newman and Gayle Tapy shared some stories and writing tips last week. (Photo by Alan Hodge) has been volunteering to lead the class for about two years. She comes by her love of writing naturally. “My mother was very creative,” Baynard says. “She was a poet, an artist, and very musical. I inherited my love of poetry from
her.” Baynard put her writing skills to work at an early age. “When I was in eighth grade we had a poetry contest,” she said. “Some of the other kids asked me to write poems for them. The
teacher said it was curious how so many of the entries were similar.” More recently, Baynard has been working on her own life journey story. She has taken photos of her family and herself going back many, many,
decades and is penning an epic poem describing the scenes. So far, the work has filled two large albums. Baynard is sharing her talent with “Your Story, Your Way” participants. “We start by writing a sentence or a word and just let it flow from there in free association,” she said. “That can trigger memories. Some people will want to publish their story, some want to share with their family, some simply enjoy writing.” Last week, two ladies showed up for the program, Gayle Tapy from Gastonia and Marlene Newman from Kings Mtn. Tapy is basing her journal work on a book her father, a US Navy WWII veteran, had started writing, but never finished,
about his wartime adventures. “He told one story about the ship he was on taking government gold from Poland to America,” she said. “I started thinking about what other things he must have done and use my imagination to write them down. This helps me try to understand what he did.” Newman grew up in Kings Mtn. Last week was her first time taking part in the program. “I like to write and just want to see where the spirit directs me,” she said. “I especially want to write about the things I have seen in Kings Mtn.” Newman also has another rich source for journal material. “I was a missionary in See PATRICK, Page 8A
New Fiber Internet KM Forward Workbench session on Downtown Revitalization provider for KM The home internet provider, Ripple Fiber, is planning further expansion into the area. Ripple has a corporate headquarters in nearby Charlotte, NC, off Fairview Road. Announcing its plan to expand to Cherryville in 2024 via press release, Ripple now offers services in Shelby, Gastonia, Cherryville, and Hickory areas, and intends to further expand into Kings Mountain. Ripple has its origins in South Africa and has been a company since 2019. It came to North Carolina in 2021 and has continued to expand into other states. It is continuing to expand in North Carolina. The Company was merged recently with Hyper Fiber. CEO Greg Wilson is from South Africa. Other offices in the area include office locations in Mathews and Hickory. Ac-
cording to a source at Ripple and to the NC Secretary of State business filings for Ripple Fiber LLC, other officers in the company include: Mathew Billing (SVP of Corp Dev), Joshua Runyan (General Counsel), and Lance Van Der Spuy (President). The Charlotte office source denied further inquiries for information about Corporate Officers citing the company’s online presence as a primary source of information. The expansion is a notable one for the area, an area often served almost exclusively by Spectrum (formerly “Time Warner”) and AT&T (formally “BellSouth”). While other home internet service providers for the area include T-Mobile, they are often not fiber networks. T-Mobile recently announced it will also be rolling out a fiber network for its home internet service,
but few details are known about how or when it will come to Kings Mountain. Fiber internet is faster and newer than traditional cable internet. It gets its name from the fibers that are used to connect it. It, however, unlike satellite internet or 5G home internet, has to have more of a physical infrastructure to connect. Ripple is known for its packages like 500 Mbps, 1 GB, and 2 GB. It is also known for its price locks for life for the 1 GB and 2 GB packages. In addition to the life lock for price, each of the three Ripple plans offer free, professional installation. Any potential service address can be checked on Ripple’s website. If there is no coverage for the address, then interest for coverage can also be expressed on their website (Ripplefiber.com).
Notice of Discharge of Untreated Sewage The City of Kings Mountain had a discharge of untreated wastewater from their collection system located on the sewer outfall near Little Creek Church Road of approximately 120,000 gallons. The discharge occurred
on 1/5/2026 for approximately nine hours, the untreated wastewater was discharged into Beason Creek. The City of Kings Mountain cleared the roots from the sewer main and
has surveyed the line to check for additional roots or blockages that create additional untreated discharges. This notice was required by North Carolina General Status Article 21, Chapter 143.215C. For additional information contact William Nash, Water Resources Director at 704734-4531.

band, earning the distinguished title of Homecoming Queen in her senior year in 1964. Her vibrant spirit and dedication resonated throughout her community, particularly during her long-standing commitment to Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church. For nearly five decades, Juanita paved a remarkable career in the banking industry, starting as a teller right after her graduation. She was proud to have witnessed the evolution of her workplace over the years, ultimately serving as branch manager at Wells Fargo until her retirement in 2013. Her colleagues and customers knew her not just for her professionalism but for the warm and caring nature she brought to her role. Known for her servant’s heart, Juanita could always be counted on to extend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her devotion to family was unwavering, as she selflessly cared for both her parents and her sister, Judy, offering them love and support at every turn. Outside of her professional life, Juanita found joy in the simple pleasures— shopping adventures, the timeless music of Elvis Presley and Alan Jackson, and always having her be-
loved Sun-Drop close by. Yet, the highlight of her life was undoubtedly her family, who were the center of her universe. Juanita loved fiercely and lived for the moments spent with them, always ready to lend support and fill their lives with laughter and warmth. Juanita’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. As we remember her, we celebrate a life filled with kindness, dedication, and unconditional love. An avid reader, Linda cherished the comfort of books, amassing a collection that spanned genres, with a special love for her Bible, Christian romance novels, and the beloved Little House on the Prairie series. Her selflessness knew no bounds, always prioritizing the needs of her loved ones above her own. An accomplished cook, she shared the warmth of her kitchen, creating wonderful meals that brought family and friends together. Above all, Linda was an extraordinary mother and grandmother, whose heart overflowed with love for two generations. Her legacy of loyalty, guidance, and unconditional love will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Congressman Tim Moore introduces National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day Resolution Congressman Tim Moore (NC-14) introduced a bipartisan resolution to recognize TIM MOORE January 9, 2026, as National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, honoring the courage and sacrifice of the men and women who wear the badge at the local, state, and federal levels. The resolution, co-led by Congressman Don Davis (NC01), sends a strong message of support and gratitude to law enforcement officers
across the country. “Every single day, our brave law enforcement officers put their lives on the line to keep Americans safe and uphold the rule of law,” said Congressman Tim Moore. “This resolution is one way for Congress to say thank you, but it can’t stop there. We must also advance policies that give them the tools, training, and respect they need to do their jobs and get home safely. At a time when some in politics and the media use dangerous rhetoric that targets law enforcement, we must stand firm in support of those who defend our communities.” In addition to Moore and
Davis, this resolution is cosponsored by Reps. Barry Moore (AL-01), Tom Kean (NJ-07), Mike Ezell (MS04), Tony Wied (WI-08), Buddy Carter (GA-01), Daniel Webster (FL-11), Mike Simpson (ID-02), Nick Langworthy (NY-23), Pat Harrigan (NC-10), Troy Nehls (TX-22), Derek Schmidt (KS-02), Glenn Grothman (WI-06), Claudia Tenney (NY-24), Derrick Van Orden (WI-03), Jack Bergman (MI-01), Michael Rulli (OH-06), David Kustoff (RTN), María Salazar (FL-27), French Hill (AR-02), Addison McDowell (NC-06), Chuck Fleischmann (TN03), Burgess Owens (UT-

The resolution also has support from law enforcement organizations, including the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA), the National Fraternal Order of Police, the National Sheriffs' Association, the National Association of Police Organizations, and the North Carolina Sheriffs’ Association. “America’s law enforcement officers serve with extraordinary courage, dignity, and professionalism, often at great personal risk, to safeguard our communities and uphold the rule of law. This resolution recognizing January 9, 2026, as National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day is a meaningful and timely affirmation of the nation’s gratitude, honoring the daily sacrifices of those who serve, remembering those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, and recognizing acts of heroism carried out in service to others,” said Fed-
eral Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA) National President Mathew Silverman. “FLEOA proudly supports this resolution and thanks Representative Tim Moore, and all advocates of this resolution. We encourage all Americans to observe this day by demonstrating respect, support, and appreciation for law enforcement officers across the United States.” "The FOP extends its gratitude to Representatives Tim Moore and Don Davis for today’s symbolic resolution expressing support for the law enforcement community. We appreciate their understanding of the sacrifices our officers make everyday—often quietly and without fanfare—to keep our neighborhoods safe and subsequently express our thanks a little bit louder,” said Patrick Yoes, National President, National Fraternal Order of Police. Sheriff Chris West, President, National Sheriffs' Association, added,“National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day is an important opportunity to honor the service, courage, and commitment of the men and women who protect our communities. The National Sheriffs' Association strongly supports this resolution and thanks Representative Moore for recognizing law enforcement officers who serve our nation with integrity and dedication.” “The North Carolina
Sheriffs’ Association appreciates our members of Congress who recognize and value the significant sacrifices and contributions made by America’s law-enforcement officers who protect and serve our communities every day throughout the year,” said Eddie Caldwell, Executive Vice President and General Counsel, North Carolina Sheriffs’ Association. "State, county, and local police officers, deputies, troopers, and agents put their lives on the line each day to serve and protect their communities. Too often, law enforcement officers find themselves working in an environment which risks not only their safety, but morale, retention, hiring, and mental health. It is vital that officers know our government and communities have their backs. We appreciate Congressman Moore’s resolution in support of the recognition of January 9, 2026, as 'National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day' and look forward to working with him to honor and protect those who protect us,” said Bill Johnson, Executive Director, National Association of Police Organizations. Congressman Tim Moore represents the 14th Congressional District of North Carolina, including Cleveland, Gaston, Burke, and Rutherford Counties, as well as parts of Mecklenburg and Polk Counties. Embark on a path to self-improvement this year There is always room to develop, grow and become a better person. With a new year on the horizon, setting self-improvement goals now can help anyone navigate a path to a better version of themselves. Here are some New Year’s resolutions that can help a person grow and nurture their well-being. • Focus on improving time management. Feeling rushed and that you don’t have a handle on how you spend your time can exacerbate stress. According to Indeed, making better use of time can enhance productivity, make it easier to meet deadlines and reduce stress. Time management isn’t just about work performance. It’s also an important tool for getting things done at home. Key aspects of time management involve delegating tasks, focusing on one thing at a time (as opposed to multi-tasking) and setting priorities. • Become a better listener. You must be able to commu-
nicate effectively in all aspects of life to make sure your message is understood. But it’s equally important to be able to receive and adapt to the messages of others. Take advantages of opportunities to slow down and receive visitors. Seek input when planning, and ask colleagues how they feel something can be completed effectively. • Pamper your mind often. According to Vaughn College, feeling calm and in control often means nurturing yourself from the inside-out. Keeping a mindbody balance is essential. Reading excerpts from motivational books or passages, turning off notifications on the phone, taking a break from social media, carving out time for spiritual enrichment or meditation, or working on a puzzle can help fuel the mind. • Learn to stop procras-

Bitter cold does not discourage KM Gateway Trail patrons By Allyson Parker Despite clear skies and bright sunshine on Sunday, January 12, bitter cold temperatures settled over the area. The frigid conditions did not discourage regular patrons of Kings Mountain Gateway Park, many of whom continued their usual routines of walking and exercising throughout the day. The Gateway offers multiple walking paths, outdoor exercise equipment, and educational displays. There is something for everyone who enjoys outdoor activity. Among the regular visitors are Mr. and Mrs. Wilson of Shelby, who say they come on a regular basis to ease the stresses of daily life. “It’s a peaceful place,” Mrs.
Wilson said. “Today was a great day because we were able to get photos of a vigilant hawk perched nearby.” Brittany Hendrick, a second grade teacher of Cherryville, enjoys staying active, walking regularly and using workout equipment. Her 9-year-old son, Cade, and their energetic cockapoo, Bella. Others, such as Jerrielli and Sira, both from Gastonia, love exploring Crowder Mountains, but favor the Gateway Trail for its gentler inclines and well-maintained paths. Seth Whittaker from Kings Mountain brings his dog Otis along for group walks. Otis, a friendly rescue from the Charlotte Humane Society, happily tags along
with everyone, adding to the welcoming, community atmosphere. “I moved from Kentucky about 18 years ago to Kings Mountain. I enjoy this park and come often, it's a friendly place with welcoming people; I intend to stay. The Kings Mountain Gateway Trail is located at 807 South Battleground Avenue in Kings Mountain, NC, and is open each day from dawn until dusk year-round. It’s part of the regional Carolina Thread Trail and offers scenic off-road paths, picnic areas, restrooms, benches, workout stations, and a nature trail for kids—making it great for dog walks, family outings, and casual hikes.

our own families. Home training is what that is called. We have had years of parenting wherein our supervisors had ample opportunity to make us feel the impact and recourse emitted from harming another person. The extra vision afforded every parent is wasted when we say, “Let the children decide for themselves.” Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it. A child in his youth is as an arrow in the arms of a strong man. Spare the rod, spoil the child. These are all still good Bible verses our generation grew up on.
What has happened? Why is there all of a sudden a new set of rules for this next generation? Has God retired? Did the Bible lose its potency? What happened to the church? Where have all the aged, wise individuals who once represented the truth and integrity gone? Who made our leadership afraid? What is it that we are now afraid of? Last time I checked, there was still a prayer room in the house. We used to call them closets. We can still go in there and ask in secret what we want to see changed. God is not dead. Peo-
ple still matter. The world is not different. We still grow up and we still look out and we still come inside our homes at night. Who told you you were naked? Have you eaten from the Tree which I commanded you not to eat? What have we done? Where are the moral keepers who once held young people to a standard? Who made teachers less impactful to our children? Has the mistakes of the few become more impactful than the good deeds of dozens? Has the sale of News truly driven
our mentalities that far away from expecting to hear good things? Have the people who once shuttered inside closet doorways truly overtaken every living room in the homes of every leader in the whole world? Who is on the Lord’s side? There is no excuse for misbehavior between grown folks. The children are watching. That hasn’t changed either. The children are watching!

Girl Scouts sell famous Cleveland County Arts Council cookies door-to-door presents The Big Chill Casino Night and Silent Disco for Walk-About Week North Carolina will see local Girl Scouts participating in Walk-About Week for the 2026 Girl Scout Cookie Program as they sell the famous cookies door-to-door. The event started on Saturday, January 10 amd will continue through Sunday, January 18 in neighborhoods in 40 counties across Western and central NC. During Walk-About Week, girls are encouraged to take a parent or a trusted adult on a walk around the neighborhood to practice their cookie marketing skills, share quality time with their adult companion and spread the joy of the annual Girl Scout Cookie season. Joining this year’s lineup are the Exploremores, a rocky road ice cream–inspired sandwich cookie. Filled with delicious flavors of chocolate, marshmallow and toasted almond–flavored crème, Exploremores reflect the spirit of exploration at the heart of every Girl Scout. “Walk-About Week is a tradition that allows Girl Scouts to connect with their community while building their people skills and customer base for their girl-led business,” said Alexis Braca, Director of Product Program Operations for Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont (GSCP2P). “Neighbors who support a local entrepreneur and purchase their favorite cookie or donate a package will help girls to unbox the future and follow their dreams.” Girl Scouts can decorate a wagon or other container for carrying cookies and take part in Walk-About Week to reach more customers, earn a patch and possibly win an ice cream party for their troop. Girl Scout Cookies are an important building block in their journey as they learn skills like confidence, relationship-building and financial literacy while funding their next ambition like summer camp, local field trips, international travel and more. In the past, he

From Page 1B game, this is your moment. Applications are open now and must be submitted by April 15, 2026. Bat kids will be chosen during a live drawing on Veterans Field at Keeter Stadium during the Wake Forest vs. Appalachian State game on April 28, 2026. A total of 16 bat kids and 2–4 alternates will be selected. The ALWS Executive Committee may also appoint bat kids prior to the drawing. Once selected, bat kids may return in future years if they continue to meet age and eligibility requirements. The excitement continues August 13–18, 2026, when the American Legion World Series returns to Keeter Stadium on the Shelby High School campus. Bat kids are right in the middle of the action, helping players and coaches by retrieving bats, collecting protective gear, and even joining in pregame warmups when directed by the team. Being a bat kid is a big honor—and a big responsibility. The fun begins the Sunday before the first pitch and runs through the final out of the tournament. Two bat kids are assigned to each team and stay with
that team for the duration of its run in the series, with every team guaranteed at least three games. Families traveling from out of town must provide proof of hotel accommodations to ensure availability throughout the week. There is no application process for Shaggers. Shaggers are typically 13 years or older as of August 1, 2026, have previously served as bat kids, and have shown outstanding leadership, safety awareness, and baseball knowledge. Shaggers are selected by committee and contacted separately. The Bat Kids and Shaggers programs are coordinated by Jean and Chris Horne, who see the magic unfold each year. “The players often become like big brothers to the bat kids, and many of those friendships last well beyond the World Series,” said Jean Horne. “It’s incredible to watch these kids grow and dream right alongside the players.” Applications are available at www.alws.us and on the American Legion World Series Facebook page. Questions? Call the ALWS office at 704-4663103, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Immersive experience helps students become more skilled, compassionate, and career ready providers For the sixth year in a row, Physician Assistant (PA) students from Gardner-Webb University have been selected for clinical rotations at one of the world’s most respected providers of cancer patient care. From the PA Class of 2026, Tanner Hendricks, Confidence Paul, Baylee Short, and Diana Welliver have been invited to train at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. This research-driven facility has affiliation agreements with over 200 PA schools across the country. Applicants are evaluated in the areas of academic excellence, passion for oncology, volunteerism, interest in working at MD Anderson, and interest in postgraduate training. Gardner-Webb Assistant
Professor LaDonna Clark, director of Clinical Education for the Department of PA Studies, noted that MD Anderson offers an exceptional learning environment. “The institution’s commitment to education allows students to learn alongside nationally-recognized clinicians while developing specialized clinical skills in oncology,” she affirmed. “This immersive experience not only enhances clinical competence but has also led to successful employment opportunities for many of our graduates following completion of their rotations.” Gardner-Webb PA students complete a total of nine supervised clinical practice experiences (SCPEs). To provide high-quality training op-
portunities for students, Clark collaborates with a team that includes Stephanie Fraccola, clinical scheduling manager; Missy Ware, clinical administrative coordinator; and Patrick Williford, clinical/ didactic faculty. Each rotation is five weeks in duration. Seven of these are considered core rotations: women’s medicine, emergency medicine, internal medicine, surgical medicine, behavioral medicine, family medicine, and pediatrics. Additionally, they complete one elective rotation and one underserved medicine rotation. “Gardner-Webb’s comprehensive curriculum integrates early and meaningful clinical exposure with a strong focus on service, professionalism, life-long learn-

day with fiber is to add berries or sliced bananas to your cereal bowl. Blueberries (roughly four grams per cup) and strawberries (about three grams per cup) are high in fiber and also can up the flavor profile of your morning cereal. The USDA National Database for Standard Reference indicates a medium-sized banana contains roughly three grams of fiber, making any of these, or a combination of them, great additions to a cereal bowl. • Replace white bread with wheat bread and traditional pasta with whole grain alternatives. Verywell Health notes that wheat bread is generally considered
Simple ways to add more fiber to your diet A healthy diet includes a mix of various vitamins, minerals and nutrients. In fact, those seeking to eat healthy may sometimes be overwhelmed by medical advice recommending an array of items so wide it can seem difficult to squeeze everything in without eating too much food. Thankfully, there are many simple ways to get enough of what you need, and that includes fiber. The Mayo Clinic notes that a high-fiber diet supports a healthy body in various ways. A high fiber diet can reduce risk for con-
stipation, h e l p people maintain low cholesterol levels, promote bowel health, and slow the absorption of sugar, which can improve blood sugar levels in people with diabetes. With so much to gain from including fiber in your diet, the following are some strategies to do just that. • Begin the day with fiber. One of the most effective ways
to eat enough fiber is to choose the right breakfast cereal. Many breakfast cereals contain ample amounts of fiber, and the Mayo Clinic advises looking for one that contains five grams or more of fiber per serving. Though this is not always the case, and shoppers are urged to read nutrition labels before purchasing a new cereal, products that contain the descriptors whole grain, bran or fiber in the name tend to feature ample amounts of fiber. • Supplement your cereal. Another simple way to start the
Wednesday, January 14, 2026 healthier than white bread due in part to its higher fiber content. The same dynamic plays out with whole grain pasta compared to traditional pasta. Traditional pasta is made from refined flour that has the bran removed during processing, whereas the fiber-rich bran is not removed when making whole grain pasta. It can take some getting used to, but opting for whole grain pasta and wheat bread over more traditional but less nutritious alternatives can be a great way to include more fiber in your diet. • Eat healthier snacks. Nacho lovers might be surprised to learn that tweaking their nachos recipe
can be another way to eat more fiber. When making nachos for the big game, prepare them using whole-grain tortilla chips, legumes like black beans or red beans, and fresh vegetables like diced bell peppers. Another way to eat more fiber when snacking is to reach for whole-grain crackers, dried fruits without added sugar or a small amount of nuts in lieu of processed snacks like traditional potato chips. Fiber is a key component of a healthy diet, and there are many simple and flavorful ways to eat more of it each day.

How to Prepare Your Online Accounts Before You Die Dear Savvy Senior, I recently had an estate plan drafted, including a will, power of attorney and advance directive, but I’m not sure what to do about all my online accounts – email, banking, and social media. What can I do to make sure my family can access what they need and protect my digital information after I’m gone. Almost 80
Dear Almost, In addition to creating an estate plan, you should also make a “digital will” that lists all your online accounts and login information. This will help your loved ones access your electronic devices and online accounts more easily so they can manage your electronic affairs, according to your wishes, after you’re gone.
Montana State University offers a Digital Assets Inventory Worksheet (see Montana.edu/estateplanning/digitalsssetsworksheet.pdf) to help you get started. Or consider purchasing a “password book” on Amazon for a few dollars. This will let you record and organize your online account information alphabetically. Here are a few other tips to help you prepare your digital life for your survivors.
Apple: If you’re an iPhone, iPad or Mac user, you should nominate a “legacy contact” who can access your Apple account’s data after you die. This is a secure way to give trusted people access to photos, files and messages. To set it up you’ll need an Apple device with a fairly recent operating system. iPhones and iPads
need iOS or iPadOS 15.2 and MacBooks need macOS Monterey 12.1.
For iPhones, go to settings, tap Sign-in & Security and then Legacy Contact. You can name one or more people, and they don’t need an Apple ID or device. You’ll have to share an access key with your contact. It can be a digital version sent electronically, or you can print a copy or save it as a screenshot or PDF. Take note that there are some types of files you won’t be able to pass on – including digital rights-protected music, movies and passwords stored in Apple’s password manager. Legacy contacts can only access a deceased user’s account for three years before Ap-
ple deletes the account.
Google: Google takes a different approach with its Inactive Account Manager (see Support. google.com/accounts/ answer/3036546), which allows you to share your data with someone if it notices that you’ve stopped using your account. When setting it up, you need to decide how long Google should wait – from three to 18 months – before considering your account inactive. Once that time is up, Google can notify up to 10 people. You can choose what types of data they can access – including emails, photos, calendar entries and YouTube videos. There’s also an option to automatically delete your account after three
months of inactivity, so your contacts will have to download any data before that deadline.
Facebook and Instagram: If you’re on Facebook or Instagram, both of which are owned by the parent company Meta, you can have your accounts either memorialized or deleted after you die if the companies get a valid request from a family member or friend. See Facebook.com/ help/1111566045566400 or Help.Instagram. com/264154560391256 for details. Meta also strongly recommends Facebook users add a legacy contact to look after your memorial accounts – see Facebook.com/ help/1070665206293088. Legacy contacts can do things like respond to
new friend requests and update pinned posts, but they can’t read private messages or remove or alter previous posts. You can only choose one person, who also must have a Facebook account. Passwords: If you use a password manager – a service that creates, saves and manages passwords for all your online accounts – see if it has an emergency access feature. Some services, like Keeper, Bitwarden and NordPass, allow users to nominate one or more trusted contacts who can access your keys in case of an emergency or death. Send your questions or comments to questions@savvysenior.org, or to Savvy Senior, P.O. Box 5443, Norman, OK 73070.
