The Rough Rider Center has an amazing facility for many different programs and has helped me grow in activities that I enjoy doing. They have helped me to meet new people and advance my abilities in the sports I am involved in. Everyone is helpful and motivated when it comes to expanding the sports program in this community. LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION COURSE Candidates must meet the following requirements: Be at least 15 years old on or before the final scheduled session of the course. Complete the online learning portion of the course BEFORE class begins. Swim 300 yards, continuously demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing. Candidates may swim using front crawl, breast stroke or a combination of both. Swimming on the back or side is NOT allowed. Goggles may be used. Session
