WATER WISE CHALLENGE
Eligibility:
♦ Ages 18 and over
♦ Must be a City of Spokane Residential Water Customer
♦ Must have lived in residence for the entire 2023 year
♦ Account must be in good standing
♦ Limited to 100 customers
♦ Tenants may apply for rebates with written property owner approval. However, rebates are property specific and applied as a credit to the active water account.
How & When to Enter:
♦ Contest begins July 1st, 2024
♦ Enter by July 15th, 2024

• You’ll need to: provide your account info, write your personal pledge to save water, thoroughly read the terms and conditions of participation, and agree to terms with your signature.
♦ Awards announced by October 31st.
How & When Winners will be Selected & Notified:
♦ Upon confirmation of registration, City of Spokane Water Department Staff will email you your 2023 water consumption. We will calculate your savings goals for the following tiers: 10%, 20% and 30%.
♦ Winners will be announced by the end of October to provide adequate time for meter reading reporting. (Some residential meters are read monthly, others are read every other month.)
♦ Winners will be contacted by phone or email. Grand prize winner is subject to an in-person interview.
♦ Your credit will appear on your City of Spokane Utility bill within 1-2 billing cycles.
Contest Rules:
♦ Ages 18 and over. Current employees of the City of Spokane and their family are not eligible to participate.
♦ Contestant must have lived in the residence for the entire 2023 calendar year. The City of Spokane Water Department is authorized to use any submitted photos or statements.
♦ By accepting these rules, submitters grant the City of Spokane permission to use their likeness and everyone recognizable in their photos in any and all of its publications, including its website, social media accounts and other promotions without payment or any other consideration. Contestants must own or have permission to use any uploaded or emailed images.
♦ Contestants hereby irrevocably authorize the City of Spokane to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish or distribute any photos or statements for purposes of publicizing the City of Spokane Water Department, its programs or for any other lawful purpose.
♦ The contestant waives any right to inspect or approve the finished product, including written or electronic copy, wherein their likeness appears. The contestant waives any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of any photograph or statement, and releases the City of Spokane, their agents and/or assignees from any and all claims from damages of any kind based on the use of any photographs or statements.
♦ Contest runs from July 1, 2024 through August 31, 2024.
♦ Winners will be notified by email or phone. Non-cash prizes not redeemable for cash. Prize winner is responsible for all taxes and additional expenses incurred in acceptance of prizes.
