INVEST IN THE VISION As we embark on a new, unique school year, our campus has come back to live with the return of faculty, staff, and students. Our campaign is on a similar trajectory - our pace slowed during the past few months, but we are continuing to push forward. The design firm, Arup in collaboration with EDA Architects, shared their final report as part of the project pre-design phase, which started in September 2019. They shared the following as part of their executive summary: Fundamental to the Waterford experience is the design of the campus itself. Its configuration provides an armature and an envelope to everyday school activities and interactions, shaping the lives of students and staff that occupy the campus day-in and day-out. The size, configuration and resourcing of school buildings and spaces can be seen as a critical enabler of the school’s community as well as its ability to deliver its intended pedagogy, by providing the necessary room to gather, socialize, teach, collaborate and experiment. With this in mind, they set a vision and design principles for each of the new facilities. SCIENCE:
