Cool Beans
By Bella Diglio
Cool Bean is taking on new sites! Every last Friday of the
month, we go to Quaker Hill to deliver coffee to
elementary school teachers and staff. We also
participate in Pre-K as well as PE. It was nice to see
my elementary teachers and paraprofessionals. It was
so fun seeing all of the grades and Peter’s little brother.
We delivered 30+ coffees at Town Hall. The people are
nice and we look forward to going back! It’s fun doing
Cool Beans on the go!
Music Production,
My Passion
By Darren Guppy
1. Making Song Embellishments - Thinking about
what parts for a song to make.
For example:
(2VERSES)
(CHORUS)
(BRIDGE)
(INTRO/OUTRO)
(REPEAT or LOOP TRACK)
2. Music - Finding some sounds and melodies for a song you
are thinking about and making.
3. Producing - Music production involves writing, recording,
arranging, editing, mixing, and mastering a song. The goal is to
create a polished piece of music that can be shared with an
audience. My mentor teaches me all the music and production
classes in the studio. I love how I’m doing the production in
my class.
I love to make music want to share what I learn.
Transportation Training
By Sam Deflice
The Kennedy Collective came and taught us about taking public
transportation. It’s important to always keep safety and etiquette
in mind. People with disabilities can sign up for this program and it’s
free of charge. It’s best to have this training around your 21st birthday
or when you have a part-time job.
If interested, you can contact them.

Do You Feel You Pay
Too Much For Things?
By Alivia Johnson
This month we learned how to be informed consumers.
We shopped online to price compare items. We looked
at quality, price, delivery fee and budget. It was amazing
how we could save money by shopping around! I suggest
you look at websites before making a purchase. That
makes you an informed shopper!
Mystic Seaport
By Luke Bozarth
I accepted a brand new job being the cafeteria janitor
at Mystic Seaport in Greenman’s Landing. I started
sweeping the floors, wiping the windows, tables & chairs.
Then for the rest of the day, I was mopping the entire floor
of the building. We are working as a team and getting
the restaurant in tip-top shape for their grand opening on
3/29! We can’t wait to try their delicious food! We love
working at the Seaport!
Unified Basketball
By Peter Hynek
Unified was great! We played local schools such as
Montville, NFA, Griswold, Ledyard, New London
and Bacon Academy. We played for the ECC
Unified title at NFA. It was streamed live. I played
an important role by bounce passing to my
teammates so they could score points. We
had a fun season! Thank you Ms. Murphy and
Mr. Arnold!
