HELLO ZINESTERS, ZINE READERS, AND ENTHUSIASTS,
2021 was a year of growth for Wasted Ink Zine Distro and the Phx Zine Fest! We moved into a bright new location, distributed close to 4,000 zines, led many great zine workshops with youth and adults, and hosted a 3-day virtual Phx Zine Fest! We care greatly for the communities we represent here at Wasted Ink and we are happy to report that we welcomed over 100 new zine makers with many new zines to the distro, with titles like “Ability: Emerging from the Social Constraints of Neurodivergence and Disability” by Andrew Coltrin, “Butches in Bloom” by
LiuxingJohnston, and “Rez Bot” by Damon
Begay.Thank you for your participation in our programming and events and for supporting zines being distributed nationally and internationally, and all across our home state of Arizona. We have big plans for 2022 and we look forward to even more zines, community, and wasted ink.
