Can you believe its already November? Your Wasilla Chamber has been gearing up for a strong finish to 2023 and we have a LOT going on! Our highly anticipated End of Year Raffle is in full swing, with an exciting array of prizes up for grabs. Be sure to secure your tickets before the drawing on December 19th for a chance to win fantastic rewards while supporting your Wasilla Chamber of Commerce. November marks our 'Support Local' month—a dedicated celebration of our community's diverse businesses. Throughout the month, shop local and support our local businesses. You can participate in our Support Local November promotion via the Goosechase app, and be a part of what makes this community great. Your continued support of local business is invaluable in fostering a thriving local economy. In the spirit of community engagement, our Board Elections are underway, welcoming self-nominations until November 29th. Your active involvement and leadership play a pivotal role in shaping the Chamber's trajectory, so seize the opportunity to contribute to our shared success. We are also in the midst of soliciting proposals for our Strategic Planning process, a critical step in charting the course for the Chamber's future. If you or someone you know possesses the expertise to guide us through this important endeavor, we invite you to submit proposals by November 17th. Lastly, I am delighted to introduce a new member of our Chamber team—Rachel Wilson. Rachel joins us with a wealth of experience and has already jumped in with both feet. Her skills and passion will undoubtedly contribute to the continued success of the Chamber. Please join me in extending a warm welcome to Rachel. As we approach the festive season, let us come together as a community, supporting one another and laying the foundation for a prosperous future. LETTER FROM THE CHAIR
I’ve often heard people asking about our Greater Wasilla Chamber of Commerce membership. “How much does it cost” and “What are my benefits” are the two biggest discussion points. So, just to prove to myself how much our company gets from our GWCC membership, I decided to do a comparison with most of the surrounding Chambers and what was obvious to me … the GWCC membership packages are outstanding and offer more than most organizations realize! But … the one benefit that is not listed are the connections and friendships I have made with other Chamber member business leaders. Just last month at our most recent Chamber luncheon, I was sitting with some guests and they noticed how many personal conversations I was having with others in attendance that day. They asked me, “Do you know everyone here?” My response … “Well, we know each other from being part of this Chamber!” I would encourage you all to remind yourself of the GWCC member benefits and most certainly take advantage of the collaboration and connections that can be made at the Chamber luncheons! There is no meeting fee to attend Wasilla Chamber luncheon for Wasilla Chamber Members, but lunch is available to purchase at check in. 100% of the lunch cost is paid to the facility.

Holiday Gathering December 19th
11:30AM - 1PM at Evangelo's Restaurant
Brown Bag Bottle Exchange! Bring a bottle of something booze, balsamic, olives, olive oil etc. and dress it in a brown bag.
We will mark if they're alcoholic/non-alcoholic
Participants will draw numbers and choose from the table in numerical order. Don't get too attached - participants have a chance to steal from you! *Bottles may be anything (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) but must be wrapped so contents cannot be seen. Must be 21+ to participate.
