GREATER WASILLA
OF COMMERCE

"The Wasilla Chamber has grown and changed quite a bit since I first walked through the doors in 2017, and it's been amazing to look back at where we’ve come from and where we are heading – and on multiple levels, I could not be more excited for our future."
- Jessica Viera, Executive Director
2021 was a very successful year for the Greater Wasilla Chamber of Commerce and a much-needed change from 2020 where we spent the majority of our time isolated on Zoom meetings. We were extremely happy to get the Membership back together for bi-weekly luncheons at our new venue, Evangelo’s Restaurant. The Mat-Su Valley continued to grow and made an important decision to stay open for business which is a huge testament to our Valley leadership and our strong business community. We were honored to host numerous groundbreakings and grand openings throughout the year, while also growing our Membership. Our robust Government Affairs Committee worked closely with our local legislators to take on our 2021 Legislative Priorities. We would like to thank all of our elected officials who have made it a priority to participate in our Membership. We are very grateful for each and every one of you! I want to extend a huge thank you to our Executive Director, Jessica Viera, and our Administrative Assistant, Cassondra Odden. They have worked extremely hard this year to express the importance of shopping local and supporting our business community right here in the Valley. Lastly, I would like to thank our Membership for finding the value in the Wasilla Chamber so we can continue to support you and help keep the Mat-Su Business Community flourishing for years to come!
- Kelsey McLeod, 2021 Board President
